Firepits!
Got the message from Bob that he is allowing woodburning firepits this weekend! He has some pits placed already but I'm not sure on locations. Bring wood or you can purchase it from Horning's.
See you there!

Huk For Independence Players!!!

We are a few days away from taking over all three courses at Horning's Hideout for the weekend for the Huk For Independence!

Here's what you need to know for the weekend (including course notes and OB rules!):
Please don't arrive before 8! Horning's opens at 8 and they appreciate us respecting their morning peace and quiet. Please pay for park use at the entrance to the Horning’s staff.

Please come to the players meeting so we ... more

When will we get the course notes and starting holes?

I'll be sending out the emails here shortly. I'm making adjustments to make sure the course pools fit the best for the tournament. It is a shotgun start so you'll see your starting holes on Saturday morning during the players meeting. The approximate schedule is also posted on the event page. See you there!

Thanks!

I am not participating in this event, but just a heads up - that LIV golf tourney is also this weekend at Pumpkin Ridge, and the local news stated there may be traffic and other logistical nightmares and headaches in the North Plains area. Be prepared and Good Luck everyone ;-)

Which course(s) will MA3 play?

Dan Logan   June 25, 2022 at 6:53pm

It says 3 rounds on Highlands in the event description

josh pierce   June 27, 2022 at 8:01pm

That is correct!

Luke Jacunski    June 20, 2022 at 12:09am

Just curious about the “(Dark) glow golf” note for Saturday. Will I need to bring glow discs?…or is that simply noting that one can participate in glow golf after round 2 is finished?

josh pierce   June 20, 2022 at 5:26pm

We will supply score cards and a couple prizes for glow golf. Horning's just installed new lights on the baskets so they should be lit up better than ever! We will have glow discs for purchase or you can play with your own that you either tape lights to or some people add glow sticks to their disc.

For camping, do we just pay that there the day of or do we give you our name & for what nights were staying?? I haven't camped there before so wasn't sure of the go abouts

josh pierce   May 18, 2022 at 2:22am

Camping and day use fees would be paid at the entrance directly to Hornings.

Sounds good

Is this event a C tier instead of a B tier like last year? The $85 entry fee seems quite high if it's just a C tier.

Yes it is high for a traditional C tier. This event has never really been in the C tier category of quality or fun. There really isn’t a benefit to having it be a B tier for the majority of the players in the event. We’ll probably be back to a B tier next year.
