THURSDAY PRE-TOURNEY UPDATE
++++++++++
Please arrive no sooner than 20 minutes before your tee time to the park. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP EARLY for the parking lot spot of your dreams. There are no congregation points at this event. You show up, you listen to Lobo for a couple of minutes and then you're going to start your round. When your round is complete you will march yourself to the Parking lot and decide how best to spend your lunch break.
Restrooms Facilities
There are a port-a-potty and hand washing station on site.
Lunch
If you're not close enough to go home you've got an array of choices tomorrow. Mad Rose Pub is a popular spot with the League members, I'm sure they would be happy to see some disc golfers. DO NOT be late for your second tee time. Also, DO NOT SHOW UP EARLY. It's a balance. I know you can do it.
TOURNAMENT NOTES:
Please review this entire document. I’ve highlighted a few links you should BOOKMARK to your cellular phone web browser for easy access.
This event is a PDGA C-tier event. We’ve compiled a few helpful links for those of you who haven’t competed in a PDGA sanctioned event before. C-tier events are the most relaxed of the tiered events and a great place for people to get their tournament legs beneath them.
PDGA Documents:
There are some differences between casual or recreational rounds and competitive rounds of disc golf. The Competition Manual covers everything from Tournament Procedure to Player Code of Conduct. If this is your first PDGA sanctioned event we strongly urge you to review the Manual. Some of you old salts could likely use a refresher as well.
If you haven't really studied the inner complexities surrounding the Official Rules of Disc Golf you'll be pleased to know it won't matter. This isn't a complicated game and the Official Rules are compiled in an easy to digest document.
TEE TIMES:
We will be running Tee Times starting at 7:45 am. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP MORE THAN 20 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR TEE TIME. If you are in a group travelling together and it's not 20 minutes before your tee time PLEASE STAY with your travel vehicle. There are no congregation points at this event.
Round 2 Tee Times will be available shortly after the last card for Round 1 has tee'd off.
EVENT OFFICIALS:
There will be three event officials on the course. If you have need of an official ruling PLEASE TEXT LOBO he will send the closest Official your way in a jiffy.
No one on your card is an event official - if you are unable to come to an amicable solution have the player who is looking for a ruling play a provisional throw and document both scores.
These three fellas are your event officials:
LOBO (587-998-1470) - TEXT FIRST
Todd Kennedy
Braden Walters - no rulings for MA50
So if there is doubt please reach out.
GROUPINGS
You will be playing with the same people all day. We will not be changing groups after round one.
