Hello everyone!
We are excited to kick off the 2024-25 College Disc Golf season with all of you here in Big Rapids! This email serves as the Player's Meeting for tomorrow's event. Any additional information I will follow up with you when you check in.
Please give yourself ample time to get to your hole as some holes do take a little time to get to.
EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN INDIVIDUALLY. Since we are starting with singles play for round 1, we are having everyone check in individually rather than as a team. This allows folks to pick up their player's packs as well as ensure that we have everyone accounted for.
Check-in begins at 8:00am and ends at 8:45am. So please be sure to see me in that time window to avoid any issues.
Tournament Central is south of the main parking lot near the practice baskets.
Northend Riverside Park: Trestle Bend Dr, Big Rapids, MI 49307
Due to a miscount in our custom Northend Thunderbirds, we will be offering players the option of a Northend Thunderbird or a pick at a premium plastic disc of varying brands.
An awards ceremony will be held at Tournament Central after the conclusion of the event. Please stay if you are able as we would love to celebrate together and get pictures before we all head our separate ways.
Course assignments are as follows:
Men's A/B Teams (MA1): Round 1 - Singles on East Longs, Round 2 - Team Doubles on West Longs
Women's and C/D Teams (MA2/FA1): Round 1 - Singles on West Shorts, Round 2 - Team Doubles on East Shorts
WE HAVE CADDY GUIDES! Please refer to the link to access them.

We will be utilizing PDGA live scoring to keep score. Paper cards are available if you prefer to keep score that way. All teams and individuals must keep score during both rounds. (This was a new rule as of 2024)
PDGA Access Code for RD1 Singles: singles24gclo
PDGA Access Code for RD2 Team Doubles: teams24glco
ACE POOL! We will be creating an ace pool during tomorrow's check-in. $5 per person (cash only). All aces are treated the same — regardless of pool. If no aces are hit, money will be divided 50%, 30%, and then 20% to the top three universities toward their tournament expenses.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to me. You can contact me via email or DGS comments! Rest up, and best of luck to everyone!
