PLAYER REGISTRATION
All players are required to check in (along with their chaperone if under 13) to receive their tournament information and swag.8:35am - 9:40am
DISC GOLF FORM CLINIC
If your new to disc golf and would love a few pointers before the tournament begins, we will have seasoned disc golfers and experienced juniors who will help show you the basics of putting and throwing to help get you prepared.9:40am - 9:55am
MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING
All players (and chaperones for players under 13) are required to attend the player meeting prior to participating in the tournament. At the player meeting the tournament staff will share important tournament details that will help players to prepare for the tournament and become familiarized with the course and the properties points of interest.10:10am - 12:15pm
ROUND ONE
All players will head out to their hole assignments.12:15pm - 1:15pm
LUNCH
Due to unforeseen circumstances lunch will not be provided this year. Please bring your own lunches and drinks.
Picnic tables and shelters are located at several places on the course for your use. You may want to bring folding camp chairs however as picnic table seating is limited.

ROUND 2 (OPTIONAL)
For those players who would like to throw more discs before heading home, a single (non-sanctioned), single-division round will be played directly following the awards ceremony. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

About this tournament
We at the Gilman Gauntlet have a passion for providing opportunities for youth and families to enjoy the great outdoors. Come join us for a brand new, juniors only tournament. This is the only free juniors tournament for Western Montana in 2026. This event will be free of charge and will include a tournament disc, disc golf jersey and other swag for all participants. The local disc golf community as well as local sponsors have raised over $2,000 to help keep this tournament free for all participants! Your kiddos don't need to be PDGA members to participate.. ALL FEES HAVE BEEN WAIVED! Whether your kids are brand new to disc golf or play regulary, they will have an incredible experience.

ROUND DETAILS
The heart of this tournament is to provide an incredible disc golf experience for brand new juniors and seasoned juniors alike. Because we will have a wide ranges of age and experience levels, the younger divisions (MJ6-8 & FJ6-8) will be competing on a shortened 9 hole course) while the older divisions (MJ10-18 & FJ10-18) will be competing on the Gilman White Layout (a short but technical layout perfect for juniors).
JUNIORS & CHAPERONES
(Per the PDGA Competition Manual) All Players in the Junior ≤12, Junior ≤10, Junior ≤08, and Junior ≤06 divisions must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during tournament rounds. Additionally, any player younger than 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian regardless of the division they play in. A single parent or guardian may be responsible for multiple junior players in the same group if agreed upon by all of the parents/guardians prior to the start of the round. COURSE LOCATION
21025 Gilman Creek Road, Missoula, MT, 59804
(Please see the map image posted in the tournament pictures. Each map software is a bit different and we want to make sure you have no problems getting to the course. It takes around 40 minutes to get to the Gauntlet from central Missoula on mountain backroads, plan accordingly!).
CAMPING
Dry camping will be available on site on Friday night (no dogs on property). There are multiple outhouses available on site. Please reach out to tournament staff for details.
SPONSORSHIP
If you're interested in helping to grow the game, we have 2 different sponsorship levels:
SINGLE HOLE SPONSORSHIP is available for $100.
(Hole sponsors will have their name prominently displayed on the tee sign for the hole of their choice.)
GOLD LEVEL SPONSORSHIP are available for $350.
(Sponsors donating $350 dollars or donations valued above $350 will have their name displayed at tournament central and will receive a shout out at the start of the tournament and again before prizes are awarded. If you are interested in partnering in this way please reach out to tournament staff.)
PUTTING LEAGUE FUNDRAISER
Additonally, an INDOOR WINTER PUTTING LEAGUE will run on Fridays at 6:30pm during February and March. The league will be held at Church at the Gates (3821 Stephens Ave S, Missoula, MT, 59801). Entry is $5 per person and all proceeds will go to help make the Gill-Man Gauntlet Junior Tournament FREE for all participants. We will also be accepting disc donations that will be given to new junior players on tournament day.
