BIG OL' HOWLING GALE POST!
(1) SPONSORSHIPS! We have Title Sponsor Fair Winds Brewing Company, Towel Sponsor Bluechip Technologies, LLC, Major Sponsors NOVA Disc Golf Association and Rice Properties Group, and lots of Hole Sponsors (Spotsy Disc Golf Club, Mark Wheeler, Phoenix 5 Productions, William Debesis, Jonathan Bostic, GYROscope Disc Golf, LLC) and fundraiser disc purchasers! THANK YOU ALL for your support of this event!
We still have some hole sponsorships available and a few fundraiser discs (Electron Pilots with the sick HGC logo) for sale! We have met our added cash goal and funded the player packs, so additional funds will go toward fancier lunch and CTPs for AM divisions! Hole sponsorships and fundraiser discs are $25 apiece; send via PayPal to [email redacted] with the note "HGC hole sponsorship" or "HGC fundraiser disc" and PM me to let me know you've sent it!
(2) SPOTS! I have FIVE AM spots left on Saturday and eight MA1 spots left on Sunday! All AMs get a shirt, a FlighTowel, an HGC logo Streamline disc (Drifts, Runways, and Traces available), and lunch! Register here for Saturday:

PROS! There's $1,000 added cash on the line, and I've still got plenty of spots! You get lunch, too! Register here for Sunday (MA1, too):

(3) PARKING! Detailed information will be in the players' meeting video. I hope to drop that hotness by Monday. Right now, it is likely that Saturday will involve everyone parking in the small lot by hole 1 (CARPOOL!) with TC near 1's long pad. Sunday is trickier, and may involve using the old Nike missile site as a satellite parking area. This is not ideal, but may be the only way to keep 2 long in play.
(4) LAYOUTS! are posted to the relevant DGS page. The last three years, Saturday involved three layouts: one for everyone in the morning, then a harder layout for FA1/MA2/MA40 and an shorter layout for everyone else. This year, everyone will play the same layout both rounds, which will mean fewer misplays, easier navigation, and more accurate ratings.
Sunday will be short to long in the morning, with a temporary 18th hole added from 16's long tee to a NOVA T-1 basket short of the gauntlet. In the afternoon, we will play long to long EXCEPT 16, which will be split the same way as the first round.
(5) THE WORLD IS A REVOLVING WHEEL OF PAIN! By next year, it is my fervent hope that new hole 7 will be in place and the new parking area near holes 13 and 14 will be our new Tournament Central. Thank you for bearing with me.
