Great questions, yes when taking a cali shot you will then have a choice of which one is better to use. You can use your gateway players pack discs as your non cali shot, however then you would not have a cali shot on that hole

like a Mulligan if you dont like your drive or you hit a tree off the tee pad you can throw the putter you got as a Cali shot and it will not add a stroke it will count as your stroke..... so basically you have a retry on every hole with that disc just as long as you use it for your second shot
