HEY DISC GOLFERS,
It's almost here! This Saturday October 9th. Glow for 18. This is your chance to help us get more baskets on the course while having fun with a great bunch of people. This is two events in one evening of fun.
For the people with a competitive nature, there is a 9 hole singles round at 5pm. The divisions will be: Recreational from the RED tees
Intermediate from the WHITE tees
Advanced from the BLUE tees
The entry fee is $25 for the event. Each entrant will get 10 disc dollars to spend on the available merchandise of their choice. After the winners are announced, we will have chilli, supplied by the locally popular JC's restaurant in Burton, Ohio. A great little restaurant with great food, and a seller of golf discs for the Friends of Punderson Disc Golf Club. We will also have drinks and munchies available.
For the people who like to compete and have allot of fun while doing it, we will have a one-round, 3-person team best shot GLOW scramble at 8pm. All teams will play from the Red tees. If you've never played GLOW disc golf, you're in for a blast! Everyone who tries it, can't wait to play again.
We are encouraging everyone to come with their own 3-person teams, with a unique team name. {We're in a family friendly state park, so please keep it clean}. If you don't have a 3-person team, or you're coming by yourself, we will help you find a team to play on. It's a great way to meet other players.
We are planning for a 9-hole round, but we are not limiting the number of players because WE WANT MORE BASKETS, so we have provisions to add up to 3 more holes to not turn anyone away. As in the first event, each entrant will get 10 disc dollars to spend on the available merchandise of their choice.
Don't have any GLOW discs?? Not to worry, we gotcha covered! We will have custom stamped GLOW drivers, GLOW midranges and GLOW putters available on site. We will also have other glow items on sale to have fun with. Also, we will have a supply of flashlights and GLOW lights to "fire up" your GLOW discs.
We are pleased to announce that we now have concrete on all of the Red tees and some of the sponsored Blue tees. Come check them out. We have the biggest tees around. The Reds are 12ft long, Whites will be 14ft and the Blues are 16ft. They are all wider at the back and tapered in the front. If you like them, try sponsoring one to help us get them all in. We will have sponsorship info on site, or contact me via email if you're interested, or know of a sponsorship opportunity. Every little bit helps!
If you haven't been out to the course for a while, come see all of the improvements we have been making. You can even get a sneak peak at some of the new holes being prepared.
