I sent an email with the following information, but am posting it here as well in case it went to your spam folder. Again, I apologize for this turn of events.
When I went to order the discs for the Trilogy challenge, I was met with very disappointing news. Due to the increased interest in disc golf, the Trilogy brands are experiencing extremely low stock on discs. Sadly, this includes the Trilogy Challenge discs. They have none of the Latitude 64 SPZ3s, and no lightweight Bounties. The soonest they will be restocked and to me is September 18th. Obviously this is after our scheduled event. So right off the bat I want to apologize for this turn of events. It’s not ideal and unfortunately out of our control.
I do not want to cancel because for us, the point of the tournament is to allow the community to play the new 9 holes and get some feedback regarding the expanded course. I still want to do that.
To such ends, I have thought of a few alternatives, but wanted to hear back from you as to which you might prefer.
Option 1: Continue with the Trilogy Challenge on the same day and time, understanding that you will only receive 2 discs on that day with 1 to come later. You can add 1 disc from your bag to fill out your 3. I don’t love this option personally because then I have to track everyone down after the event to get you your final disc.
Option 2: Still hold an event on the same day and time, but it would not be a Trilogy Challenge. Instead, it would just be a 3-disc challenge from your own bag. You would be refunded all but $10 of your registration. That $10 would go toward prizes for the winners.
Option 3: Reschedule the Trilogy Challenge to September 19th or 26th to allow for the discs to arrive in time. While this lets us move forward as planned, I know that some of you will be unavailable for various reasons.
Please respond as soon as you can using the Google form below so I can make a decision as to how to move forward that is the best for the majority. Obviously a full refund is available if that is your choice. Thanks for your patience in this matter.
