The King Of Wingfoot

If you are over near the lake you may hear whispers on the wind of the King, the King, the King of Wingfoot. He ruled the course and all its minions. He would take on all challengers. He had all the shots, He knew every line, all the wind currents, every divit, and every gopher hole. He knew exactly how to play the course on any given day. And you know why he knew what he knew, obviously the Queen. It has been years since the course has been graced by royalty. The time has come to crown a new King and Queen. Obviously the King and Queen will have the lowest scores no matter what layout they play. The are the honey badger couple of disc golf. They will beat you left handed with your discs.

Join us as we celebrate the coronation of a new King and Queen. Long live the King and long live the Queen.

We have now promoted everyone into the event. HOW do we plan to fit 134 golfers on 18 holes you ask? Well, here is the master plan (subject to change).

We will setup the temporary 9-hole layout again this year.

Groupings/Layouts:
Group A - (MPO, MP40 & MA40) 47 Golfers
Round 1: Holes 1-18 (MPO Longs all others Shorts) Short tee on holes 2,3,7,13 and 14
Round 2: Temp 9-Back 9 (Shorts for all)

Group B - (MA1, MA2 & MA50) 44 Golfers
Round 1: Back 9-Temp 9 (Shorts)
Round 2: Back 9- Front 9 (Shorts)

Group C (Females & MA3) 42 Golfers
Round 1: Temp 9-Front 9 (Shorts)
Round 2: Front 9-Temp 9 (Shorts)

These groupings are subject to change as the division numbers fluctuate over the next few weeks. The layouts will be entered in Udisc and the temp holes are mapped already if you want to go out and practice the layout.

Hole 1: Pavement near tennis court is casual. Inside fence of tennis court is OB.
Hole 2: Throwing from short tee pad, not asphalt. Road and beyond is OB.
Hole 3&4: Road and beyond is OB. Everyone throws from short pad on 3.
Hole 5: Mando right of sign (longs only). Parking lot/Path and beyond is OB.
Hole 6: Surrounded by water is OB.
Hole 7: Surrounded by water is OB. Road/Fence and beyond is OB. *Short pad for all
Hole 8: Road and beyond is OB. Marked OB zone behind basket, normal OB Rules.
Hole 9: Road and beyond left, path and beyond to the right of the basket is OB.
Hole 10&11: NO OB
Hole 12: Inside tennis court fence is OB.
Hole 13: NO OB
Hole 14: Fence and beyond is OB left, right and behind basket.
Hole 15: Fence and beyond on the right is OB.
Hole 16: Parking lot/road and beyond is OB.
Hole 17: NO OB
Hole 18: Parking lot and beyond is OB.
Hole A: Paved path/parking lot and beyond is OB.
Hole B: Road/Path and beyond on left and right is OB.
Hole C: Island Green. Drive must come to rest inside island walls. If you miss, play it as HAZARD with penalty. Every shot that lands in hazard (outside gaga court) incurs penalty stroke.
Hole D: Path and beyond is OB. Surrounded by water/ice is OB.
Hole E: Surrounded by water/ice and path and beyond is OB.
Hole F: Path and beyond is OB. Surrounded by water/ice right is OB.
Hole G: Path and beyond is OB.
Hole H: Path and beyond is OB.
Hole I: Path and beyond is OB.

We are doing the Potluck at each event again this year. Please comment here if you plan to participate and what you plan to bring. We had some TASTY food last year at these events. It is GREAT to walk off of the cold course to a HOT meal so please consider participating.

*Potluck food is only available to those who participate and bring something to share.

In an effort to incentivize early registration our 2025 club member bag tags will be distributed at event #1 in the order that you sign up. We will hand out the tags prior to Event#1 first round as you check in.

It is helpful for our event TDs to prepare for the event if you sign up early if you plan to attend. Last few years we had over 110 golfers at the first event. We had to create a temporary 9-hole layout to accommodate the field size. As of now we are capping the field at 84 but as in years past we do not turn anyone away. We will adjust the layout to accommodate the field size.

There will be disc swap/fly mart at the first event as in years past. Potluck is back again this year as well.
