Welcome to the 14th Annual LoCo Open!

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for registering for the 2025 LoCo Open. Thank you for all the support! This is the club's premier event and we are excited to have you come out and compete at beautiful Clark's Run DGC and the (new) Lefty's Farm Course at Flying Ace.

This year we are introducing Flying Ace. If you see Pete Thomas - thank him! This place is pretty special and he's graciously opened it up to us for the event. This really is a fun track and complements Clark's Run in every aspect. We hope you love it as much as the club does. This is a new course and shows a ton of promise for good things to come.

We'll keep this nice and simple for you:

Official Tee Times and Hole assignments can be found on the PDGA Event Site. However, please note that Tee Times could change depending on add/drops etc. Please double-check the morning of the event.
Please review the Attached Player Notes for detailed information. This gives you an opportunity to review it and ask questions in advance of your scheduled tee time.
Depending on the course, OB will either be marked by white paint lines or flagged and roped. Pages 8 - 11 spell out the hole by hole detail for each course. Additionally, there will be a quick Q&A before you tee off.
We will be using the PDGA Live app as the official scorecard. You can download the app on the App Store or Google Play or just use the web app at pdga.com/score. Instructions are provided inside the attached notes (page 3) and questions will be answered before you tee off. Everyone must keep a scorecard. Paper scorecards are available upon request by responding to this email. Please have paper scorecard requests in by Friday, September 26, at noon.
The access code for live scoring is: GoneLoCo2025
All of the OB rules for the event are defined on the digital Scorecard. The Digital Scorecard serves as the official hole instruction.
Should an OB line not be visible, the default event fall back for OB is always surrounded by water. We're confident there's no ambiguity.
Clark's Run Player check-in is located near the pond by Hole 2 (under the really big tent). Flying Ace Player check-in is located in the white event building near Hole 1.
Please check-in 15 minutes prior to your assigned Tee Time.
Please report to the starting hole 5 minutes prior to your starting Tee Time.
Parking is tight at Freedom Center. Lets please fill up the main lot first. After that we will fill the North parking lot.
Do not park on the main road or across the street in the neighborhood.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with parking. If you have an hour to spare, please let Chris, Robert, Sully or I know.
Flying Ace has plenty of parking capacity - there should be no issues there.
Smoking and Drinking at Freedom Center is strictly prohibited per property owners' explicit direction. It is private property...please respect that. It's only a single round...we know you can wait. Thanks in advance! In addition, Please do not cross the street to smoke in the neighborhood; it causes friction with the community.
I'll post an update the night before the event. So more to come.
Players Packs: We have everything ready to go. We will provide the players packs at Flying Ace when you check in or at the Players Party.
Also, we had to place the shirt order in early August (4). At that point we only had 124 folks signed up. So I placed the order with some buffer based on last year's numbers. I ordered 200 shirts. However, the numbers have shifted greatly especially with all the add/drops. So now I don't know how close some of the totals will be on sizes. We'll do the best we can..
Players Party: After your round on Saturday, come on over to Flying Ace! Grab a beer, get some awesome Monks BBQ. It'll be a ton of fun.
Play-offs (play-offs?!): Should a tie occur the following (hole) format will be followed for playoffs:
Clark's Run: competitors will compete in sudden death play on Holes 2, 9,10, 17, 18 & then 1 in that order and repeat until there is a winner.
Flying Ace: competitors will compete in sudden death play on Holes 1 through 7 and repeat until there is a winner.


Additional Stuff happening:

First Dream Disc Golf is in town. Lauren and Alex are hosting a Flex C-Tier on Friday (9/25) at Clark's Run. Come on out if available for some added competition!

We will have an additional guest coming in to show off a prototype new basket (center pole-less basket) they are working on. I'm curious to find out more. Will post when I have more details.

Hi All,

As we continue to wrap up all the prep for the event, just a quick update of sorts. I will have the official players meeting notes sent out on Wednesday night. We will be doing a final walk-through of both courses this week but everything is looking in great shape. As we go through the courses, I will be looking for hazards like bees nests etc.

I've updated the 'Photos' section in the DGScene listing to include both images of the scorecards, as well as the players pack items. In the 'About' section, I posted updates as well. We continue to get add/drops and some of the tee times shift in minor ways.

As always, feel free to hit us up with questions. We're getting excited to see everyone come out and visit. If interested, Dream Disc Golf will be in town this weekend hosting a Flex C-Teir at Clark's Run on Friday. Could be a fun way to do a final run through the course :-)

'Notional' tee times have been listed. These are not set in stone as add/drops are still going on and things may shift. I have had to update one of the pools. Right now everything is on track.

FYI, we have started laying down OB paint. We have a little weed whacking left and more paint to get down. The club's mobile fleet of baskets is now put out on Flying Ace Farm and ready for play. The courses should be done by Saturday 9/20. Everything is looking fantastic out there. I hope everyone has a blast. If you see a LoCo Club member, give 'em a high five. They've been crushing it on the course setup.

Hi, as you’re finalizing pools and tee time orders, could you please move pool C (pro women) to play their courses on the same days as the other pros. That is, Flying Ace on Saturday and Clarks Run Sunday, just like Pool B, who plays the same layouts as us. That will give us the chance to actually play alongside other pros as we should and to not be the only ones playing the long layout on the day we play Flying Ace. Thank you!

Clark's Run will remain open to the public prior to LoCo Open!
