Players,
Fort Washington Upshot is 2 rounds of 18 holes PDGA C-Tier event at Fort Washington State Park in Fort Washington, PA Saturday 11/16.
All players must sign in before 8:15am. Sign in is at the pavilion between holes 10&13. Starting
Holes are at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/85843
Check again in the morning your starting hole to confirm nothing has changed. Changes should be unlikely and only if absolutely needed.
When you sign in, we will have tables set up with amateur player’s pack items.
Hand sanitizer is available for your use before you touch any merchandise in the store.
Each card must have everybody keeping score. One person must keep score via the PDGA website and the others any other way you want. We have paper scorecards.
We have set up layouts on the PDGA site. PDGA.comscores code FortWash
For OB and hazard rulings, group decision is needed. If you can’t decide, give the benefit to the player; when in doubt play a provisional. Player must declare loudly they are playing a provisional.
Keep an eye on where you land. You only get 3 minutes to search for your disc before it is officially lost.
Two-meter rule is not in effect
Bring plenty of water; and this may be a good time for this year to wear sunscreen & bug spray.
Projected payouts can be found at
https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/manager/payouts_projected?TournID=85843
The exact numbers will change but this will give you an idea of what to expect; if people drop from your division, then the payout will be less. Amateur payout amounts are $8, $10 or $15. We will have prize tables set up for you to select one item.
The B.S. Bochantin Upshot store will be open all day. We accept Venmo or Cash.
For those swapping their unwanted plastic, give us your discs before round 2 starts. We will value them as you play, and you will receive a scrip card for the value to use when you finish the second round. We are not accepting any swaps after you start round 2. Due to a massive influx of used Innova discs please expect $1 for any DX and $2 for any Star or Champion.
For any first-place tie breaker playoffs will start on hole 10 tee to basket that division did NOT play earlier.
For Ace Pot, if someone hits an ace then they get the $190 sent to them via paypal. If no one hits an ace it will be used to pay the local club.
For the professional divisions (MPD, MP40) we intend to pay out in cash.
Pool A is MPO, MA1, MP40 and play the LONG layout both rounds. Pool B is every other division which play SHORT layout both rounds.
We will have many cards of three players. If a player is not present then they get par plus four. Additionally, you can’t start with only two players so you must wait for the group behind you to catch up with you and play as a much larger group.
