Winners of trophies for 2021 Pine Cone and 2021 Ahoskie:

First - Apologies this took so long.. I got the trophies back in early November, and took them to a pair of events to pass out what I could to folks i saw there , intending to mail the rest, but then in a whirlwind have dealt with a job transition, a family death, a sudden home project and life - and simply forgot to set down and box them up. I posted to the Facebook page I needed addresses and I guess it didn't get much notice; The few addresses i did have I cannot locate in messages because i forgot who sent hem ( it was only a few ).

If you are owed a trophy for the event and have not received it yet -Three options:
1) please EMAIL me your mailing address at [email redacted] with "Trophy" in the subject line.
2) I will have them at the Raleigh Winter Jam, The Buckhorn Am Weekend, and the Pinehurst tournaments if you want to just pick up in person.
3) If your local~ish to me and want to drop by and look at discs and pick it up, get up with me to arrange a time to make sure I am available.

Good afternoon - thank you for signing up for the Ahoskie stop of the FG AM Tour.

It is a busy weekend - both at the park and in disc golf. Let's break it down:

The park has issued us a permit for the event. However, the park also has a baseball tournament and a rental of the shelter for tomorrow. Our permit is for the use of the disc golf course, and specifically states we may not interfere with other events. Should you encounter an issue, call me IMMEDIATELY at 919-625-4155 but DO NOT get into any altercation or argument. I'll address it with the individual and include the police department to enforce the permit if I have to.

As for disc golf being busy, this weekend has this event going on, as well as the ECO Finals, the Carolina Clash and USDGC Doubles going on - so we are looking at a smaller field for this event. ( I myself am thrilled that we have so many options to play in NC !)

Due to this lower number, I am not going to set the field's tee assignments until after I close registration sharply at 8:30. Expect that they will be live by 8:35. We will start at 9:00. Also - with the low number I plan to utilize as many 3 somes as possible and spread folks out so you have plenty of room and can enjoy a good pace of play.

We are only playing 18 holes. The holes we are playing are HOLE 2 thru 18, and hole 21. MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER THAT AND DO NOT MISPLAY.
Once you play 21, you need to navigate past the baseball complex to hole 2. Please be careful in the crowd and courteous to other park patrons.


I will not have the trophies tomorrow. As I posted on the DGS Comment board earlier, my supplier had a technical issue with his laser engraver, and is behind. They will be mailed to those who earn them at a later time. I will have a limited amount of discs with me for those interested.

OBs - like some previous events, I am going to go simple and fun for this event. ALL HOLES:
OB is Surrounded by water, Asphalt, or concrete ( except tee pads). Any park structure other than disc golf related ( so that's shelters, baseball fields, dog park, etc.) For the holes along Ahoskie Creek, the OB is surrounded by water AND BEYOND (7,8,9,10, etc - It's plainly obvious ). That's it. Card decision, be fair, have fun.

Schedule:
Check in from 7:30 to 8:30. I will be in the gravel lot beside the soccer field like you're heading to the dog park.

Tee round 1 at 9:00. With the small field and spread out cards, I expect the round to go fairly quickly.

Meal break 1 hour from the last confirmed card, then launch round 2. Round 2 tee time will be announced in an email like this one, on the FG AM Tour FB Page, and I'll yell it from Tournament Central.

ANY PLAYOFFS : Will Be hole 11,12,13 played in a loop until won; Sudden death.

Player pack: A VIP Hatchet (!!!) and ofcourse 2 bottles of water.

We will use live scoring. Access this at PDGA Digital Scorecard. Event Code is FGDG.

I would like to address the park situation for this coming weekend. When this date was okayed originally in December there was no conflict. When the park dept. issued me a permit for this day several months ago there was no conflict. However in the recent days I have been informed that now there is a celebration for a graduation as well as a baseball tournament also scheduled in the park for the same day. My permit is for the use of the disc golf course. Should you arrive and you encounter vehicles on the disc golf course alert me so that I may contact the proper authorities to have the situation addressed. I will have a copy of the permit at tournaments central.

To whom it may concern, I would very much like to play the back tees at this course; they are a lot of fun! If it is decided that MA2 will play short tees both rounds, may I pay the extra $5 ($35 for MA2 and $40 for MA1) and compete in MA1? If it is decided that MA2 will play long then short tees (or short then long), like MA1, then I will remain in MA2. I am strongly advocating for MA2 to play one round from the back tees. The tee shots are fun and challenging. I don't know if this comment is appropriate, but nevertheless, thank you for listening.
