All righty, we are ready to go! 68 players will meet and compete at Flatirons East tomorrow. Check in starts at noon, and everyone should be checked in by 12:30 so there's enough time to get to the designated starting holes and warm up. The start of play will be signaled by an air horn blast from the clubhouse at 1pm. Your starting hole is your card number as shown on the spreadsheet linked below.
All sanctioned players, regardless of division, will be playing from the gold tees. Non-sanctioned players can choose to play blue or gold tees, although it probably is easier if the entire card plays the same tees. Each card will get a map & scorecard with course notes and modifications...there are a few changes, so look out for them!
Taylor Adams is the PDGA TD. We will be using PDGA online scoring for sanctioned cards. Two players on each card need to go to PDGA.com/Score and enter the code BDGC. They will need to sign in using their name or PDGA number. Both will keep score throughout the round, and the web app will help them identify and fix any discrepancies. If there are disputes among the card about the way to play/score a given hole, they should throw provisional shots and talk to Taylor after the round, before submitting scores.
If you are playing Boulder tags, we will be using redge.info to register players and report scores. Your tagmaster will be Henry Lembeck. There are two matches set up on redge.info, one for gold tees ("Flatirons black") and one for blue tees ("Flatirons blue"). If you're doing tags and the PDGA sanctioned round, then make sure to sign up on redge for Flatirons Black because sanctioned players must play from the gold tees. The five of you who bought BDGC tags: I can tell you your initial tag number and even show it to you, but the first thing you do at a tags match is surrender your tag to the tagmaster anyway, so you won't have a tag to carry until after the match. The tag you carry away is determined by your score, so the starting number doesn't matter much.
There are no organized side games (ace pool or CTP), but you're free to set up your own side hustle.
Please stick around after the match to make sure your scores are properly reported (PDGA and redge) and you can retrieve your tag if you're playing tags. If you can't stick around, find someone who can get your tag for you. It can be a royal pain to get abandoned tags to players.
