Where do you play if you don't have a rating? Here's a guide:
Kids, folks who might not be able to execute the "X-step" (see here:
https://gfycat.com/miserableadeptgentoopenguin), and first time throwers probably fall in the range of 0-700 (Yellow, Brown, Indigo, Ivory, and Peridot). I would bet that a 120' throw wins Peridot, and a 200' throw wins Brown.
If you think you can easily throw a disc more than halfway across a football field, but not all the way from end zone to end zone, try Orange, Purple, and Green! I think the winner of Green will have to be able to throw more than 300'; Orange and Purple will be more like 225 and 250.
If you can throw farther than 300', but not out of a baseball field from home plate, Red and White are your likely divisions. I would peg a 350' shot as the winner of Red and a 400' shot as the winner of White.
If you are a Blue or Gold-level player, you likely play organized disc golf already and know where you stand!
