I just promoted the top 4 from the waitlist. The remaining folks on the wait list have a chance to get in if people drop out for various reasons over the next week.
Depending on how additional hole sponsorships go, I might be able to add a little cash to pro payouts.
There will be limited prizes for Ams beyond the awesome trophies which will be disc racks with the Festivus logo laser etched in the side panels. I'm spending a ton of time on them but it is fun to do some wood working again. I plan to get gift cards from Play it Again, along with using some extra Festivus discs for Am prizes.
The umbrellas came in today, for Am players packs and a couple of Pro CTPs. I'm disappointed in the apparent quality for $18.10 each. Apparently they need to be opened carefully at least after shipping. I'm not sure these will be very windproof, even though they are vented. Blue/Black and Red/Gray color options. Only 22 available of the red/grey. The earlier you get to checkin the more choices of discs too. All players get an Innova Coozie at checkin.
I will be giving away 16 years of custom stamped Festivus discs going back to year 4 in Jan 2005 from my collection. Year 4 was the first year we had custom discs. Kelly Christiansen has provided the artwork all 17 years now. These will be the CTP or Long Putt prizes on holes 4-16, with many specific to a division.
There will be course maps & CTP lists posted at tourney central for people to take pictures of.
Finally, Mark Martin is also talking about raffling off a sweet Latitude 64 Bag, which I would like to be a fund raiser for the club which is thin on working capital to support all we are doing for the local disc golf community.
Happy Festivus! Greg Johnson
