2-day, 2-round (one round per day) B-tier tournament at the beautiful NSRA disc golf course. We will be using tee times for this event. We are looking forward to an amazing weekend of disc golf.


Hello Everyone!



Thank you for joining us for the 2024 Falling Barn Open! Dips Discs is very excited to be taking over this event and we hope to be able to do this more in the future! We wanted to send out an email with information for this weekend’s tournament:



1.) Tee Times have been posted to PDGA so be sure to check those. If we have any last-minute drops, I will notify everyone by email with a heads up to double check and see if anything has changed.



2.) Ace Pot is sitting at $460 before day of sign-ups. If no aces are hit, we will donate half of the money to the Skagit Valley Disc Golf Club and half to next year’s FBO



3.) PDGA live will be used for scoring. Paper cards will be available.



4.) PDGA LIVE SCORE PASSCODE: FBO24



5.) There will be no players meeting. Please check in at tournament central and then arrive at Hole 1, 5 minutes prior to your tee time. If you are not at Hole 1 within 5 minutes of your tee time you will incur an automatic penalty.





6.) All players must keep score. Each player must keep an independent scorecard recording scores after each hole for the entire group. A player who refuses to keep score may be subject to disqualification. Players may delegate scorekeeping duties only to their designated caddie. All players are responsible for reconciling and submitting their copy of the scorecard within 30 minutes of when their group finishes their round. A player who has not submitted their scorecard on time receives two penalty throws. Please check your scores with the whole card at the end of your round BEFORE submitting your scorecard. If there is a wrong score, then that player will receive a 2-stroke penalty so please double check everyone’s score before submitting.



7.) We will be having a raffle on Sunday. All proceeds will be going to Skagit Valley Disc Golf club for future events. Tickets will be $1 each or 25 tickets for $20! If you have raffle items, you would like to donate then please bring them with you and hand them to Lucas or Eric on Saturday!



8.) Trophies will be presented to the top 3 competitors in every division immediately following the last card from that division being turned in. Trophies were handmade by Eddie Wren and His lovely wife. If you only have 1 or 2 people you will still get a trophy. Please be sure to thank Eddie and his wife when you see them!



9.) Payouts will receive payout through PayPal by Monday. Am’s will receive payout in scrip through Dips Discs. You can spend your scrip that day.



10.) Dips Discs will be onsite ALL WEEKEND for all your disc golf needs, we have a lot of stock so be sure to come check out what changed! Please be patient in the morning as set up takes awhile and we will get going as soon as we can.



11.) OB’s will be listed on the PDGA live score app. They will also be listed below.



12.) Please be aware that some of the OB lines got messed up. They will be re-painted with a wider line. The wider line IS THE OFFICIAL OB LINE. If the line is not easy to tell which is OB then it will be marked with flags. So please be aware that the wider lines and flags are the OFFICIAL OB line and please disregard any other lines you see. If you have any questions, then take a provisional and a picture and bring it to Lucas or Eric and we will make the right call.



13.) If there is any questions about a lie, the benefit of the doubt goes to the player. If 1 person says they don’t know or if 1 person says it’s good, then the player wins the call. It must be unanimous to go against the player negatively.

14.) 18 will play from the lower teepad not the upper original teepad.

ALL OB’s Play as normal OB rules unless listed otherwise below!

Hole 1: OB tall grass and beyond left side. OB Path and beyond right side. Green is an island. Path running east to west plays as a river separating fairway from island green. Shots going OB before the path running east to west play as normal OB ruling. All shots after the path that do not come to rest on the island will proceed to the drop zone with a 1 stroke penalty. All shots after the drop zone that do not come to rest on the island play normal OB rules.

Hole 2: OB left and right side long grass. OB does not begin until beyond the path running east to west. Green is and island. For all shots off the Tee that do not come to rest on the island you can re play from the previous lie with a 1 stroke penalty or take it where it was last in bounds with a 1 stroke penalty. PLEASE IGNORE THE DROP ZONE.

Hole 3: Right side OB entire fairway indicated by painted line. Large tree at top of the hill is a mandatory tree-proceed to DZ if mandatory is missed. All shots landing in the barn before passing the mando tree, treat as a missed mando. Any shots landing in barn after mando tree, treat as standard OB rules.

Hole 4: OB right and left side indicated by painted line. PLEASE IGNORE THE HAZARD LINE IN THE TALL GRASS IN THE CENTER OF FAIRWAY. If you land in that patch of grass, IT IS SAFE NO STROKE ADDED.

Hole 5: OB left indicated by painted line. (OB ends at post)

Hole 6: No OB.

Hole 7: OB left side indicated by painted line.

Hole 8: OB right side indicated by painted line.

Hole 9: Island green. For all shots off the Tee that do not come to rest on the island you can re play from the previous lie with a 1 stroke penalty or take it where it was last in bounds with a 1 stroke penalty. PLEASE IGNORE THE DROP ZONE.

Hole 10: OB right side indicated by painted line.

Hole 11: OB right side indicated by painted line.

Hole 16: OB entire right side of fairway indicated by painted line. OB left side off the Tee, indicated by the painted line.

Hole 17: OB left side at bottom of the hill, running the entire length of the fairway marked by flags. Mandatory pole on right side of fairway (by path). Mandatory Left. Missed mando, proceed to DZ with a 1 stroke penalty.

Hole 18: Teepad is playing at the bottom of the path not from the original pad. OB left side of fairway. OB fenced in Area by basket. OB path on the right. (use the line from hole 1 as the OB line) less
