Hello Everyone
I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for signing up for the end of season Fall Fling 2023! This is our 3rd Annual event and we hope for a really fun day of disc golf and of course, beautiful weather!
We are just a couple days away from a great day of disc golf!
1- As I posted on the event disc golf scene page last week, we are reverting to a traditional 18 hole layout, playing all the Mach 3 baskets that are on the course (IGNORE THE WHITE BAND Basket on 2 and YELLOW BAND Basket on 12). As much as I love the Fling Safari layout, the tall grass areas that would be landing zones would just make for a really unfun day, we will move to a layout which should ensure more fun than you possibly ever experienced in your life! Rule sheet is attached. To clarify The fairway divider rock circle between holes 1 and Hole 17 will be played as a hazard (See attached image, Blue is hazard) If you are within the rock circle you will play where it lies with penalty, If you are touching a border defining rock you are considered safe and not penalized.
2- Starting Hole Assignments will be posted Friday 10/20/2023 at approximately 7pm on our PDGA PAGE HERE
3- Check in will run from 7:30-8:00am, You must check in!
4- Round 1 will start at 8:15am, there will be NO player meeting, just be at your starting hole for a 8:15am tee.
5- Water will be available in the gazebo area up near hole 1 and a water Jug and some bottles near hole 12 as well. DO NOT BE A JERK, please do not put empty water bottles in the cooler, Most of the time there is a trash/recycle can within a couple holes, or even pack it out and take it home!
6- SCORING: We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system through PDGA.com/Scores . The password will be NEST. 2 people from the group are required to keep score, one via the official method, the other via PDGA ideally, but paper, or Udisc is acceptable. The group can decide who keeps the PDGA and who keeps the other PDGA or Udisc. The Digital Scorecard is the OFFICIAL score card of the event. After you complete scoring make sure everyone’s score is confirmed prior to anyone leaving for the day and ALL PLAYERS have an opportunity to review scores. PLEASE NOTE: Being unprepared to keep score, or unwilling to keep score with other methods provided is not an acceptable excuse.
WAITLISTERS: I will continue to work the waitlist until 8pm Friday Night, If you do not get in by that time you can show up in the morning during the check in window in case there is a no show or overnight drop.
If you are looking for more winter fun: Check out the 2023/24 Colorado Disc Golf Hall of Fame Winter Series: Some events are open for registration as well!
