Good afternoon and thank you for registering for the 7th event of the 2022 Fly Guy NC Amateur Tour!
There will be NO player meeting before the event. This serves as the player meeting. READ IT CAREFULLY AS IT DETAILS RULES OF PLAY.
READ THIS EMAIL CLOSELY - EVEN IF YOU HAVE PLAYED OTHER TOUR STOPS - AS THE ROUTINE AND SCHEDULE IS DIFFERENT THAN MY USUAL SET UP.
Forecasts vary but most indicate it will be HOT, and of course when it's hot in NC, there is always some chance of rain. Prepare accordingly.
This year the tour will crown Point Series Champions in MA1, MA40, MA50, FA1, MA2, FA2, MA3, FA3, MJ18- and MJ12-. There will not be a points series champion for the Novice or Open divisions. You must complete 3 events minimum to qualify for any points series prizes.
Now, the event :
Registration is CLOSED. Except in cases I have already made arrangements for, I will not enroll anyone else at this time. ( Registration was open approx. 45 days).
Drop requests after this email will be removed, but not refunded.
7:30:- We will begin registration. Tournament Central will be under the DD Tent..
You will need to follow any applicable COVID / Social distance guidelines while around the Tournament Central .
Player Pack item will be given at this time.
Again - Except for specific individuals I have already spoken to, I will not accept any day of registration.
We will close check in at 8:30 sharp. Players not checked in will be dropped with no refund given.
We will call two minutes at 8:45 by sounding 2 long blasts a truck horn. Start will be called at 8:47 in the same manner with a series of short blasts. The woods are thick so be sure to "pass it along" when you hear it.
This is a shotgun start.
Your starting hole will be tentatively posted by 9:00 PM today (7/29/22) BUT MAY UPDATE BEFORE THE EVENT STARTS,
It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to verify your starting hole, and to arrive at it accordingly.
You should verify that no change has taken place tournament morning at 9:05 at the very least.
This is a small field - expect the cards to be spread out and for the event to play faster than larger events.
If one person does not arrive for a foursome or fivesome, a threesome may proceed. NO TWOSOMES are allowed in a PDGA event.
Refer to the competition Handbook for how to resolve this situation.
The event info, including starting hole assignments , is located at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/61934 . .

All cards should keep a second card for score verification.
DO NOT FORGET - You MUST confirm your scores in the Live Scoring system at the end of your round before leaving the tournament area.

Round two tee time will be announced in the park and posted to the Fly Guy Disc Golf Am Tour Facebook page. Starting holes will be posted to the PDGA results page.
Payout is a day of use voucher for those who qualify. If you leave and do not claim your voucher the day of the event it is forfeit.
So that should be about it - we're going to have LOTS OF FUN, and I know I am looking forward to seeing you soon!
Last thing - This is a PDGA event. That means PDGA competition rules of play, as well as code of conduct.
If it doesn't belong in the park, leave it at home. Likewise, do not put me in the position to choose a player versus maintaining good relationships with the parks system - I'll sacrifice the player for bad conduct every time. A lot of work and cooperation goes into these facilities - and we cannot represent both the sport and the community in an ill light by breaking park rules and/or violating code of conduct protocols. Be familiar with the rules, and follow them. "I didn't know" is not an acceptable excuse.
See you tournament morning
