Hey everyone!
Thanks again for playing the Elk Horn Open! Can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!
The weather looks wet, so please prepare accordingly. Bathrooms ARE open and there IS water available on sight, but again, please prepare accordingly.
We will begin checking people in at Hole 1 (look for the canopies!) at 8am. At that time, all players in MA3, FA3, & MJ12 will receive their player packs. REMINDER: THESE DIVISIONS ARE PLAYER PACK & TROPHY ONLY (NO PAYOUTS). If you purchased an event t-shirt, you will be able to pick it up at this time as well.
There will be a quick player’s meeting at 930am.
Round 1 – River Run 19 Hole Layout – Tee Assignments have been posted and can be found at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/48580
OB Sheets will be provided to go out with each card. Photos of each hole, with the OBs, and the OB rules will be posted on Facebook in both the Elk Horn Open event page, as well as on the Norfolk Disc Golf Club page. (I would attach them here, but that would be a crazy amount of attachments that would slow down the email!) These will be posted within the hour, as Jesie has been working his butt off to make some final adjustments. When you see him tomorrow, make sure you give him a big thank you, as he has put in a ton of work to showcase Norfolk’s course.
We will be utilizing PDGA Live scoring and the instructions for how to log in will be explained both at the player’s meeting and found on the paper scorecard. Each card MUST utilize PDGA Live Scoring AND the paper scorecard.
There will be an hour lunch between round 1 & 2.
Payouts will be vended through Disc Gauntlet on sight. Awards ceremony will happen shortly after the completion of the 2nd round.
Please remember, this is a PDGA sanctioned event and players will adhere to all PDGA Event rules. Please be respectful of your fellow golfers and let’s have a great day!
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
