At this point Chris that answer is no. If we had a new full 18 holes then we could have more capacity. Larger more competitive field? Not sure what you base that thought on? You are in a division of 48 MA1 players, of 6 rounds over 3 days, that had a rated entry process and took time to sell out even after all the caps were removed. If there was golfers who wanted in there was ample chance. We are committed to those other divisions/pools as they too will fill up more if larger events commit to keeping spots for them in my opinion. That's not competitive enough? How many event with 48 MA1 players you registered in? The 4 PDGA events you are registered in are giving you a total of 8 rounds and 62 total competitors. It's mostly about flow and not just having a MA1-3 event.

Joey, we have in the past given our intended budgets and plans. We may do so again in our formal communications to registrants if we have a chance. What you could do is elevate your understanding of what being a TD knows for an event 6 months away. TD's, and especially big events like this, do not know all our costs at this point for all the things we need to acquire. A TD will also not know how many people are coming to allocate fixed costs proportionately (does that get split by 50/100/300 people?) At this point we haven't even thought about what we are putting in the players pack and we haven't even completed getting sponsors on board. You can rest assured that you will get an A-tier event with all the requirements for A-tiers exceeded. One thing I will note is that being a championship we plan on ensuring the trophies are there and likely see more of an expense in that category. Hope this helps a bit and the process is very prescribed in the tournament standards of the PDGA. I will add that absolutely everything is costing more (water, toilets, dumbsters, discs, clothing, people, etc). We are also offering 5-6 rounds of golf over 3 days which is more than most when consider pass thru fee's. Hope this helps a bit.

Hi Jacob, we have communicated that CAPS will be removed on Mar 12. The only way a division will remained capped is if it's pool sells out. It's a stagged process to allow some time for people to register and have spots available. We'd love more MA2 and even a MA3 division but we'll need to complete a 3rd course to do that. We're going to start with a 9 this year and in 2024 we hope to have an additional 18 completed. I would expect everyone currently on the MA2 waitlist to be promoted into the event but can't guarantee that. We put a lot of info in the "about" section about this and the waitlist process and refunds.
