Thanks to all that came out and filled the field on a hot 4th of July like no other. Congrats to all of the winners, Geoff Bennett in Pro 40+, Craig Clingan Am 50+, John Page Rec and teenager phenom Luke Taylor taking 1st in Adv after a 4 hole playoff against Matthew Murdock on some great playoff holes. And without Discraft, J-Bird, the TD's and a bunch of volunteers that make it all possible, no one would be a winner.

NOTE ABOUT LIVE SCORING - Only 1 player per card does the live scoring. The system wont allow 2 players on the same card to sign in to enter scores. The others can see their scores using the same password by going to "live scoring" on the drop down menu. If you keep an optional paper card, designate one person to keep score on the paper card for the full round and before submitting scores, have the group verify both live scores to card scores. If you keep an optional paper card, designate one person to keep score on the paper card for the full round and before submitting scores, have the group verify both live scores to card scores. Once everyone agrees on the Live scoring, select "confirm the scores" and then they are considered "official", just like handing over the paper card. Also, there was a question about caddies. Under the circumstances, anyone on the course should be a Player or Staff. With that said, this is a public park so in the end, just be kind, considerate and have some fun out there.

The TD's have decided to use the PDGA LIVE SCORING option for both days of the event. It is quite easy and shouldn't be a problem for anyone. There still will be paper scorecards kept and turned into the TD's but the paper won't even be looked at unless someone has concern about the digital live scores entered.

Each group will need to follow this link https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/score/login and for Saturday enter the access code 23456. A page comes up allowing you to pick the division you are playing in and then it takes you to the players list. You will pick the 4 players on your card and just record scores for each hole from start to finish. Easy as pie, instantly recorded and no adding. It will still be each players responsibility to make sure that their scores are entered correctly before submission. And as mentioned, your group will keep a paper card as well.

And one last important note - All AM payouts will be stacked prize packages instead of just opening the store and having everyone in tight quarters picking through boxes.

The board will be set well before tee off. All you need to do is find your hole assignment and be at your hole before the 10:00 tee off. Please don't linger around the TD's table and player board, see where you need to be, take the score card if you're on top and get to your holes. The same request is made for when turning in your scorecard. Have one person come to the table, turn the card in and leave. When picking up any of the players pack discs, PLEASE try and just grab one and go without searching for that perfect color or weight. Allow for space between each other, do what you need to do and move on.

OB's will be same as always - any paved roadway is OB. There will be a white line marking the OB along the gravel road along fairway 1, 2 and behind 18 basket. And most important, OB along the steep bank of the river will be marked with a string. Please be careful if retrieving discs that happen to go over the bank or into the river.

*** VERY IMPORTANT *** Because of the virus, we are trying to eliminate community water stations where everyone is reaching into the same cooler or touching the same faucet. So make sure to bring your own cooler with a good supply of water or preferred beverages.

MDGO Feature Event will distribute 27 Discraft Michigan Championships Berths (combined total for both days, 14 & 13 determined by registered player numbers)
First 68 players to register will receive an extra disc from Discraft. (Combined both days and limit of 1 extra disc per weekend, per person).

Great News, the PDGA has given the green light for Sanctioning of our event. And with state restrictions being loosened we should be able to have a great 2 day tournament. Still, we are strongly urging social distancing and if not, PLEASE bring a mask and be respectful to all of our fellow players.
