A huge thanks goes out to ALL the participants of the 13th Annual Discraft Shoot the Breeze Open. As Rick attested to below, there's no way in HELL I thought we were going to have the awesome weather that we had. It was a bit hot & sticky Saturday, but the rain stayed away!

John & I both want to thank everyone for their help & cooperation - things went pretty well I think (except for my constant doink!/roll-aways!)... I'd like to thank my wonderful partner for life Patricia, and Reggy, Lyndsey, Emily, Tom, and many others who helped make this weekend "a walk in the park!"

A big thanks to TD John V and his #1 helper Larry J for putting on another great Shoot the Breeze tournament. I don't know who they paid off for the great weather but it sure worked. Rain and severe storms were forecast for both Saturday and Sunday but we never saw a drop and had mostly sunny skies. For those who skipped this tournament due to the weather forecast, you missed an awesome weekend.

Was out at Lakeshore today for a warmup before the tourny this weekend. Saw Larry J out on the course along with park maintenance getting the course ready. Trees were trimmed, mandos were marked and circles drawn. Those guys do a great job for one of the best tournaments in the area. A big THANKS to Larry and the crew at Lakeshore Park. I did remember that one round would be the signs to long pins and threw a 60, the same as last years tournament. My other round was with a beginer friend so we played Red to shorts. Threw a respectable -7. I need to get back up there to practice from the blues to the longs. Have you ever considered giving us old guys a break on the blues to the longs? You know I am not as young as I use to be. LOL

Rick, you're not the only one who got overcharged the $5. We're keeping track, & will offer up the cash, or if you want credit, that'll be fine.

First round: "Signs" to long pin placements (3, 5 , 13, & 17). Second round: Intermediate & below: Reds to longs; Advanced & above: Blues to longs. Third Round: Everyone plays whites to short pins.

And actually, anyone who pays prior to May 17 gets the $5 discount!

Could you also post what the course format will be for Advanced Grandmaster? I would like to practice a round in each format before the tourney. Thanks and see you next month.
