Well folks it is going to be an extra socks, extra shoes and extra towels kind of day.
The courses are now playable based on our current condition and the creek on the Regulator is now well within it's banks.

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE RULES ON HOLE 4 REGULATOR PERTAINING TO THE LARGE PUDDLE IN THE FAIRWAY.  
I would also highly recommend sending a spotter for the group up to the above mentioned puddle to help with locating discs.

There are a lot of standing puddles on Regulator and the other courses.
Don't forget to take advantage of the casual relief rule:

806.03 Casual AreaLast updated:

A casual area is casual water, or any area specifically designated as a casual area by the Director before the round. Casual water is any body of water that is in-bounds and has not been explicitly declared by the Director to be in play.
To obtain relief from a casual area, the player's lie may be relocated without penalty to the nearest lie which is farther from the target and is on the line of play, at the nearest point that provides relief (unless greater casual relief is announced by the Director).
A player who takes relief other than as allowed by rule receives one penalty throw.

Due to the unpredictable weather today and the high likelihood of unsafe conditions, play has been cancelled to Friday.

Pro pool will resume on Saturday with 1 round of tee times at Chimney Hills followed by a final round on Sunday at Regulator.

I hope you understand this decision was not made lightly and is in the best interest of the players.

Due to extreme wind gusts in excess of 45 mph, Pool A (MPO, FPO, MP40, MP50) will be playing Cedarock (Open Course) Friday.
Meet at Cedarock hole 1, 5 minutes before your tee time.
This decision was not an easy one, but the correct one IMO.

RULE 1.04 (c) Event Check-In
At A-Tier events using a staggered start with scheduled tee times, players must also check in with the starter no less than 5 minutes prior to their tee time each day and be present at the starting hole for the 5 minutes preceding their tee time each day. Players who do not check in with the starter by this time or who are not present at the starting hole for the 5 minutes preceding their tee time receive two penalty throws added to their starting hole. This is recommended for staggered starts with scheduled tee times at all other Tiers.

THIS MEANS YOU NEED TO BE AT HOLE 1 NO LATER THAN 5 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR TEE TIME OR TAKE A 2 STROKE PENALTY TO YOUR SCORE ON HOLE 1.

10. DIGTIAL TOURNAMENT CENTRAL: PDGA has a digital leaderboard feature. This will allow you to view what hole you are starting on from your phone and your tee time. 11. Digital Scoring- Digital scoring will be available to use for each round. IF digital scoring is used you will need to log in at:

2 FORMS OF SCORING MUST BE USED. The PDGA Scoring App now allows more than 1 person in the same group to keep score at the SAME time! This is super usefull and the required way to keep score for this event if your group decides to go ‘digital’. UDISC is no longer accepted as a backup source for scoring. ONLY PAPER OR PDGA DIGITAL SCORING ARE ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF SCORING FOR SNEEKY PETE!

13. COURSE NOTES/ TEE ASSIGNMENTS/COURSE FLOW:
REGULATOR – One set of landing pad tees.
CHIMNEY HILLS – Blue (Long) Tees
CEDAROCK – Sneeky Pete Layout. Should be painted with a (star) to indicate the tee being used. Tees to be used will be marked with a (star) to indicate you are using the correct tee.
WELL SPRING – We are using a special ‘All Star’ layout for Well Spring. The tee pads being used are marked with a GOLD * (see attached picture). The tees being used are: 1L,2L,3S,4L,5L,6L,7L,8S,9L,10L.11S,12L,13L,14L,15L,16L,17S,18S
14. Course OB Rules – Course OB rules are on the PDGA digital scorecard, paper OB rule sheets will be available at tournament central and OB rules are also attached to this event email.
15. Playoff Loop – In case of a tie for first place, there will be a sudden death playoff. Playoff holes are listed below for each course.
Well Spring AND Cedarock – Play Cedarock in a sudden death loop, holes 1,17,18.
The Regulator – Play Regulator sudden death loop, holes 1,2,9.
Chimeny Hills – Sudden death playoff loop 1,2,3,15,16,17,18, repeat.
16. Ace Pool - There was a $5 ACE POOL buy in during registration. The ace pool will be split among all players entered in the ace pool. Ace pool winnings will be PayPal’d next week. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HIT AN ACE!!!! If ace pool is not hit, the money will carry over to the next Spike Hyzer event.
17. Lunch – Lunch Break will be 1 hour from the last card turned in. NO LUNCH ON SITE BRING SOMETHING TO EAT. IT WILL BE A CHALLENGE TO DRIVE TO TOWN DURING YOUR LUNCH BREAK.
18. Lunch Options:
Chimney Hills – There are plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes of the course.
Cedarock Park – We could not secure a food vendor this year. I encourage bringing your own lunch. The gas station close to the park has a grill on Saturday, but they can’t handle large crowds very efficiently. I think the closest food other than that is about 10 minutes away.
Keep in mind that all three Cedarock courses have different speeds of play. Some lunch breaks may be longer than others. Also, in some cases your lunch break may be shorter/longer on Saturday/Sunday.

19. Camping – Check into the ranger station for details. $10 per night.
20. Payout –
Pro payout will be PayPal’d on Monday, If you win $600 or more a W-9 must be provided before payout can be issued. If you have submitted a W-9 to me previously you are good to go..
Am Prizes - Due to the value of the players’ pack and quality of the trophies for each division, this event is trophy only for amateurs. Depth of trophy payout is based on division turnout. Please be prepared to go into a playoff or throw off if you are in trophy contention at the end of the tournament.
