Just some notes for the tournament Saturday. We will be set up at our usual spot at the shelter near the basket on hole five. For you first time visitors, the GPS will take you to hole number one which is at the top of the hill and NOT where we will be doing check in. In order to get to the correct spot for check in, you need to GPS the Dover City Pool. It will take you into the park at the proper level as you'll come in on Tremont Ave.
If you are parking down there, PLEASE do not park in the area directly in front of the pool. There is plenty of parking area so please leave the area nearest the pool to those using the pool.
When checking in, All Ams will get their choice of a Tour Series disc. Many choices will be available on a first come first served basis. At that time you will also have an opportunity to get in the Ace/CTP pool if you didn't get in when registering. We will also have our raffle tickets available. Grand prize is an MVP Pro HD basket. There will be many other prizes in addition. We draw during round one and you can check to see if you won at lunch. No need to hang around afterwards that way.
Tee assignments are posted and at check in Marnie always has a poster board near check in that has the Live scoring code, CTP holes by division, starting holes for round one if you haven't already seen where you start. Payouts will also be posted on that board.
We will not have a players meeting. All the info you need should be in this note and OB's on the live scoring page. Ma1 and MPO play white tees to red basket both rounds. All other divisions play red tees to red baskets. All divisions tee from the red tee on hole 18.
Be aware that it will be a hot day. Seemingly even hotter since it's been such a cold spring. Bring proper clothing (yes you must wear a shirt) and bring whatever you need to stay hydrated. We will have coolers with water in a couple different spots, but don't rely on us. Be safe and be smart, be prepared.
Do not leave the park at lunch without checking to see when we will start round two. While an hour is typically the break length it is not a guarantee and we sometimes do rush things a bit. Keep play flowing, last groups in likely won't get a full hour. Marnie has ordered pizza for those of you who want to stick around. For $5 you'll get two pieces plus chips, a snack item and water. She will also have pop and gatorade available for $1 a can/bottle.
Any questions during the round, you can reach me at 419-569-2618. If for some reason I don't answer, play a provisional, take photos. You really shouldn't need me. Make decisions as a group.
Everyone drive safely, and we will see you Saturday morning!
