Registration will end July 7th in order to ensure enough time to get player's packs ordered and printed.
You rarely, if ever, play a round that tests every facet of your game. It would take a demanding enough course and a mix of being great enough and bad enough at the same time to put yourself in all of those situations.
Well, if you've ever wanted to put your skill set to the test, or even if you just want to come out and have fun and take advantage of all the great prizes, player packs and swag provided by our phenomenal sponsors, then have I got the event for you!
The DGSC is a series of events much like track and field or the Olympics but designed to test your disc golf skills.
There are putting, driving, up shots, overhands, scramble events and more that will be scored to find the eventual champion of each event and of the overall competition.
You can compete in as few or as many events as you'd like.
Medals will be awarded to the winner of each event.
There is a cash payout 1st(200.00), 2nd(100.00) and 3rd(50.00) place of the overall competition ($ based on a full field)
There will be CTPs, an ace fund, a raffle and a drawing for a free GRIPeq G series bag. Every participant is entered in the drawing. The raffle tickets will be for sale for money but your first 3 may be purchased with cans of food.(1 can per ticket)
When you register you will be randomly placed in a card of four. In order to maintain social distancing guidelines you will travel with your card mates to each event. Everyone will receive a scorecard and be accompanied by a scoring/rules official.
You should bring the discs you would typically use to throw a round but YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BRING AT LEAST 6 DISCS. You will need, at the very least, 4 discs that cover your drive and roller shots and 2 discs that you putt with. 2 putters and 4 drivers would be a great combination as you will be asked to throw all of them at some stations without the ability to retrieve discs between throws. If you prefer to putt with drivers, bring 6 drivers. If you prefer to drive with putters, bring 6 putters. If mids are what you throw, bring those. You can bring as many discs as you'd like as it may benefit you to have a wider selection of discs. Midrange and up shot discs will be very useful as well if you use them normally.
Entry fee is 30.00 and 3 cans of food or 40.00. Pay the money through registration process on Disc Golf Scene and bring the 3 cans of food or 10.00 with you when you sign in and get your player's pack. Any extra donations will be greatly appreciated.(all food will be given to local food bank)
Sign in/Player's packs: 8:30-9:30am
Player's meeting: 9:30am
Start time 10:00am
If Flory Park's lot is full there is additional parking behind roll-a-way skating center by the YMCA, just follow signs. DO NOT park in the YMCA pool lot.
We have a lot of spectacular sponsors that are going above and beyond to make sure that this event exceeds expectations! We are lucky to have their support, please show them yours.
There will be a food truck on site.
We hope that you will come out and join us to test your skills, help grow the sport in one of the best disc golf communities around and to be a part of the first ever DGSC! See you there! less
