Hole 3
All Pro Divisions (Except FPO) MA40 and MA1 will be playing Hole 3 as a Hazard Island. Drives must land in the island or else you play as lies with a penalty. Path and beyond is OB. If you go over the path, you will only be penalized one throw.

Good morning everybody!

On behalf of the Desert Flyers and Arizona Disc Golf, Wed like to thank you for signing up and playing the Desert Flyers Open 4 at Fountain Hills.

If you aren’t able to attend, please let us know. We will be following the PDGA Refund Process. There are plenty of players on the waitlist that would love to play.

We are holding a raffle. A chance to play The Big Arm Challenge B Tier at Vista. $750 Added Cash. 
Money raised will be used for course improvements around Phoenix and tournament expenses. Giving everything back to the community.

Covid
If you are feeling sick or have any related symptoms please let us know and we will follow all necessary precautions.

All PDGA Rules in Effect (Including Refund Process)
No 2 Meter Rule
No smoking or drinking.

If you or any card mates notice any rule violations, don’t be afraid to call them. As a self governing sport, we have to call these.

If you or any card mates see any of this, please let tournament staff know. i have no problem with Disqualifying players and notifying the PDGA.

When in doubt use a provisional. We have over 100 Players playing this event so we have to respect each other and time limits.

Live Scoring:

We will be doing Live Scoring for this event. PDGA Live is the official card. This is mandatory for this event. If there are no volunteers to do the live scoring, The top of the card will be doing the scores. No internet or service is required. Caddies or Spectators can do scoring if the group is ok with it. Paper cards will not be available. Using Udisc as a back up card is totally fine but will not be the official card.

Hole 3 Hazard Island for all pro divisions, MA1. all other divisions play it as normal. Drives must land inside the island. If not play as lies with a penalty throw.
Hole 4 Hazard Island for all divisions. All drives must land in the island, if not play as lie with a penalty throw.

Hole 6 Road and beyond. Path and beyond. Marked flagged area by FH Sign is OB

Hole 8 Road and beyond. Path and beyond. Pavilion OB. Hazard Island for all divisions. Drives must land inside the island. if not play as lies. If disc goes in the road take it where it went out and play as OB/Hazard. You cannot get double penalized so you’d be putting for 3 either way.

If you cannot see the disc in the water, please leave it and come back later for it. theres over 100 people and every hole is full so please be courteous to everybody on the course.

Provisional Throw

When in doubt throw a provisional if you aren’t sure about a call. You always have the option to rethrow from previous lie with a penalty throw. Example: If your 20ft away and hit the basket and roll down the hill into the water, you can re putt from previous lie with a penalty stroke.

Check in will be by Hole 1.

Desert Flyers Open 4 is a few days away. The layout is now on UDisc. Go ahead and check it out and practice all you want. Please be courteous to walkers and park staff while practicing. All Pro Divisions and Advance are playing the long layout. The other divisions are playing the shorts. A few temp holes will be in play and some hazard holes. Please check your email if your on the waitlist. There’s a few people that need to pay to play. If you don’t, I’m moving onto the next person on the waitlist. Rules and email will be out shortly. We will be doing a preview this Saturday. 10am. All are welcomed and you don’t have to be playing the tournament to play! Meet at Hole 1. Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters.
