Event Name: 2020 Delaware Disc Golf Championship
Event Date: September 12 & 13, 2020

All Pro Divisions & the Blue Division will be playing the Gold baskets at Brandywine & the Gold layout at Iron Hill.

White & Red Division will be playing the Silver baskets at Brandywine & the White layout (Short Pad to Gold Basket) at Iron Hill.

All other divisions will be playing the Silver baskets at Brandywine & the Red layout (Short Pad to Silver Basket) at Iron Hill.

Due to restrictions please plan on bringing your own water for the tournament

Upon Arrival:
The number one thing you need to know is that with the information below this is new for us just as much as it is new for you. I ask that you be patient and empathetic to the tournament volunteers, tournament staff, competitors and with what we are requesting of you. Keep this about disc golf.

Mandatory:
If you are not feeling well, have been around someone that has been ill you are advised by the PDGA, CDC, the State of Delaware and the DDG Club not to attend this event.
Mask and/or cloth face covering must be worn when social distancing cannot occur. Social distancing guidelines provided from the CDC and State of Delaware are required.

Posted Signs & Notifications During the Event:
- Signs regarding wearing a mask or face covering will be posted in certain areas as a reminder to participants. This will include all public areas such as practice areas, parking lots and on the course while in teeing areas. Social Distancing of a minimum of six feet is always encouraged.

All Participants must adhere to PDGA, CDC and State of Delaware Guidelines regarding events and competition during this time. Failure to adhere to these will result in immediate disqualification from the event and participant will be reported to the PDGA.

General Tournament Rules:
1. It is the responsibility of the participant to know the course layout and have a clear understanding of the PDGA rules and Competition Manual. Questions are allowed prior to the start of the event or each round.
2. All participants in this event will acknowledge that there are walking paths that intersect with the disc golf course. Signs will be posted but if park patrons are utilizing the walking paths please respectfully wait for them to pass or utilize a spotter to ensure safety. This is a park with a disc golf course not the other way around. The course is closed to casual play.
3. There are no mandatories either on the course and no two-meter penalties. Ob’s are listed in the course layouts.
4. It is the responsibility of the player to watch their throw, but it is mandatory for all players to assist with spotting for their card mates. If a player is searching for their disc, ALL the players on the card must assist, and a 3-minute clock/timer MUST be used. After 3 minutes if the disc cannot be found that player must return to their previous lie and assess 1 penalty stroke. Example: A player throws their drive and cannot locate it after the 3-minute timer has ended, Player must re-tee.

Tournament Schedule:
Saturday, September 12th, NO SHUFFLE, Same Group Rd 1 & 2, Same Starting Hole both rounds
Open Divisions, Blue Division and White Division Report to Brandywine Creek State Park
Red, Green & Purple Divisions Report to Iron Hill County Park

8am – 9am – Mandatory Check-In with TD
• Upon arrival each player must login to www.pdga.com/score
• Enter the code “ddgc2020” and sign in using your PDGA number or last name
• Each player must check-in with the TD to receive hole assignment
• For scoring purposes if you are at the top of the card you will be the designated score keeper through the PDGA digital score card for that round, you will also be assigned a paper score card for another member of the card to keep scores as a back up
• At the end of each hole each player must confirm their score
• At the end of the round each player must confirm their total and confirm your score total through the app by entering either your PDGA number or your last name

9am-9:15am – Players Meeting
9:30am – Start of First Round (two-minute warning will be called at 9:28am)
Break/Lunch – 45 min for lunch break after the last card of the round is turned in, or confirmed as completed
Approximately 1:30pm or per the announcement of the TD – Round Two, please obtain a paper score card from the TD

After Round 2 - Go home and report to your designated course for am 8am check-in

Sunday, September 13th
Cards will be shuffled after round 2 and round 3
Open Divisions, Blue Division and White Division Report to Iron Hill County Park
Red, Green & Purple Divisions Report to Brandywine Creek State Park

Awards Ceremony: Divisional awards will occur at your assigned course on Sunday, September 13th.
Amateur Awards – Plastic or Merchandise

Pro Awards – all professional divisions will be awarded cash or can request payment electronically but must let the TD know prior to leaving the event.

Additions:
Delaware State Parks are Carry-In/Carry -Out Parks. Please respect that and remove all trash when you leave. There is also a Delaware State Park entrance fee for all in and out of state vehicles.
Delaware County Parks does have trash cans.
Both Park Systems – Use of Alcohol or Drugs is not permitted.
