Hi Nick,
Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake has 3 Disc Golf courses (Original, T2, and The Woods). Orlando Disc Golf is having our weekly Handicap round this Saturday March 27th at 9:30am at The Woods Course at BFP.
I am just checking if you are using only the other courses (Original, T2) for your Deaf Florida Open III, or if you are planning to use the Woods as well? Our handicaps would be done by 1pm.
We understand the COVID restrictions, so trying to coordinate so we all can play.

Hello Bill- thanks for the message. I just added you on facebook- We will not be playing the woods, only the two courses in the rear of the park.

Please withdraw me. I had something come up and discgolfscene is having issues with me doing it manually

Hiya Brandon- Thats ok. We tried to remove you. SInce this is a free event, it seems like DGS makes it difficult to remove people. I keep getting issues with refunding 0.00.

I see comments about keeping it small, are you open to allowing people who are fluent in ASL and hearing to play?

Hello Amanda, my ideal size is around 30-40 players max. Are you local to Orlando area? We have a few ladies playing, and I'd REALLY like it if we could have a full ladies card, so if you are fluent in ASL, this will really help with that. Please keep following this, thanks!

Are we allowed to play in this if we are not deaf?

I was going up to visit family and thought I would play some disc golf!

Hello Derek, it's a Deaf tourney, sometimes we have a "side tourney" for hearing golfers called "Friends of the FLorida Deaf Open" but due to Covid, we are being asked to keep the event small as possible. Next year, we should be able to bring back the "Friends of Deaf Florida Open" as a complimentary event.

Is this for deaf persons only, or is it a fundraiser, or is it open to anyone?

Its a deaf tournament, primarily for deaf people. Not a fundraiser- more of an attempt to pick a place between Tampa and Jacksonville aonthat the deaf communities of both areas can play together.

Player pack?

Divisions are free?
And no ma3?

No player packs this year, as tourney has very little chance of actually occuring due to covid shutdowns. By being Free- we can just play for fun and prozes, should I be able to secure any. Pros will play for 100% cash. Just seemed easier after last year’s covid craziness.

So basically a casual sanctioned round.. Correct??

Nick Ogrizovich   January 12, 2021 at 10:19pm

BET sanctioned, but not PDGA.
