Event Recap:

I want to thiank everyone for comng out to play yesterday. It was not an ideal start with the light rain that came through, but I am thnakful for the fact that it was not worse. Thank you to everyone who found a partner and made the choice to play this event. Being on a holiday weekend, I appreciate you spending some of your freetime throwing discs in the event.

We also had an Ace. Michael Goodwin aced hole 1 on the East course from the white tee. If I am not mistaken, this was the last hole that his card played for the event. What a way to end your event!

Lastly, thank you to all the members of Team WC Glow that came out to help for the event. MANY of you played the event, so helping out in addition to playing the event is truly amazing. Thank you for helping to put on another good event. You are appreciated!

If there are things that you would like to see at our future events or things that we can do better, please send me a message. We appreciate player feedback and want to make the experience of playing a event good for everyone.

Our next event is Saturday July 6th, 2024 at Independence Lake....This is the Kellie Jo Memorial event. It is posted on DiscGolfScene, reg is open, and we are looking forward to welcoming players to this event that supports a good cause.

Event News:

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning at Indpendence Lake. There are a few things that we want to make sure that you know as you start planning for tomorrow.

1. The park is likely to be busy. They expect to have plenty people in the park and as such, leaving the park for lunch and getting back in may cause delays. My understanding is that if there is a line when you come back, you will not be able to skip the line to re-enter the park.

Please plan on staying at the park for your lunch break. You should either pack a lunch, or the concession stand at Blue Heron Bay (the splash park across the parking lot) as well as the snack bar (at the back of the park at the beach center) will both be open. I have posted pictures of their menu on the pictures tab above.

2. Check-in. Please plan to check-in with your partner tomorrow morning. This will help to make sure everyone is here for the event and avoid the need for last minute shuffling of cards/players.

3. Scoring / Course assignments - we will be utilizing online scoring. Code will be available to you at check-in tommorrow monring. Course/Hole assisgnements will be made available at check-in and online tomorrow morning.

4. No Player meeting in the morning. I plan to post a short video later today. I also intend to have a paper copy of necessary information available for you in the morning at check-in as well.
