As we are on the eve of the Crossover Gold Burg Open, we just wanted to send out a players info email. Hopefully this will have everything in it to answer any questions you may have.
Sunday, October 23rd will be the event at Williamsburg. It is going to be a 2 round event, with a shotgun start at 930a. It is a PDGA C-Tier. We will play the the Gold Burg layout of 18 holes. The course particulars with OB and such for each hole will be posted in the comment section of the event on Disc Golf Scene. There's a map in the pictures section. That will be found here:

A special thanks to all the Williamsburg faithful for all their hard work. Troy and Jeff have put a ton of time in for this Gold Burg layout, and there are many locals that help keep things going out there. These folks take great pride in their course, and work hard to give the disc golf community a great challenge with some scenic and challenging holes. They have been working hard for weeks in preparation. It definitely doesn't go unnoticed. The course is well marked and labeled.
Our area doesn't do a lot of Safari style events, so this is a nice way to enjoy this fall weekend. Safari events take the course in a different direction, often combining holes and giving it a different look. This is a very challenging layout.
Here is the schedule of events. We will check people in at the front shelter.
The schedule will look like this:
830-920a - Player Check In
930a - Shotgun start
@1230p lunch
@130p 2nd Round
Immediately following will be Awards and Ace Throw Off if not hit during the round
There will not be a players meeting. It is on each player to check in so we know you are here. It only takes a moment, and helps us to make sure each card is at the minimum of 3 per card. Please check in face to face with Cheryl or myself at the shelter.
The layout is also listed in PDGA Live.
For all players who are in the ACE Fund, if it is not hit, we will do a throw off and the ACE Fund will go to the closest disc.
We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and then a secondary form of scoring per card (PDGA live, Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: goldburg
You should be able to see what hole you are starting on by Saturday evening in PDGA event page:

Cards will be made of of primarily 3-4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division.
All Pro divisions will receive their payouts via PayPal and all AM's Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. There will be merchandise on hand to exchange in the Crossover Cash. There's a growing trend of AM's playing MPO. Which is great. If you are an AM and end up cashing (top 40%) and you want to keep your AM status, please let us know if you end up in the top 40%. If not, and you receive cash, you will automatically be reclassified as pro by the PDGA.
It is on each player to know the PDGA rules and guidelines. It is on each card to make sure you are on the appropriate tee. It's easy to go to the wrong hole sometimes, so make sure the card confirms they are on the correct tee pad for each hole.
If there is a tie for first place, we will start the playoff on hole 1 and continue until there is a winner, playing the same layout of the day.
It's going to be a great day. Thank you for signing up to be a part of it. We look forward to seeing you all Sunday.
Please contact us with any questions you may have.
Thanks and have a great weekend,
Josh and Cheryl
