Good morning.
I wanted to get out a players email for you this morning. Cheryl and I are super excited about the "FOUR the Love of Disc Golf". We tried to come up with a fun Valentine's Day type event, and settled on this one. Hopefully it is a fun event and will become a yearly tradition.
Ok, so let's dive in to the info for the event. This is a 1 round, non-PDGA event. There will be a shotgun start at 1p. Please check in with me in the parking lot at Winton Woods between 1230-1245p. We will have a tables set up.
For this event, you may only bring/use 4 discs. There's no need to bring your whole set up of 20 discs. This leads to less problems and less confusion on which discs you are actually using. You'd like to think that people don't cheat during these fun events, but unfortunately, we've had to address issues in the past.
There is an ACE fund built in to the $10 entry fee. If there is not an ACE hit during the round, we will do a throw off, using ONLY one of the 4 discs you brought with you for the round.
In the event of a tie for a division, there will be a playoff that starts on hole 1.
After the round we will do payouts and awards. Open divisions will receive cash, and all AM divisions will receive Crossover Cash which can be redeemed with the merchandise that we will have set up.
This event is meant to be fun. We are glad you are part of it.
