Good afternoon. We are excited that you signed up to be part of the Crossover South Decatur Basketball fundraiser at Decatur County Park. The Cougar Challenge BYOP will be a fun day.
This event will start at 9a. We will be in the shelter that is closest to 4's basket for tournament central.
It's going to be a fun day playing this event. We will play 5 loops of the 9 hole layout, to total 45 holes. Don't worry, it's such a short course, it will go by quickly, and will be an enjoyable experience.
Here is the rotation/set up for each loop/round.
Round 1 - Long 9 then Short 9 - Best Disc but the discs must be 4 speed and below
Round 2 - Long 9 then Short 9 - Best Score - You and your partner play the hole with your own discs. If one scores a 2 and one scores a 3, you record a 2.
Round 3 - Long 9 - Alternate shot - Player A throws, then Player B, then Player A, continuing the hole round in that pattern. It doesn't reset after each hole.
Once you complete a round of 9, you will start the next round/loop on the same hole you started round 1. We will play it continuously until the 45 holes are completed. We will have a brief players meeting at 845a, to make sure everyone is on the same page.
The course particulars are like this:
Hole 1 - OB on/over the road right or OB surrounded by water in lake left
Hole 2 - OB on/over the road right or OB surrounded by water in lake left
Hole 3 - OB on/over the road right or OB surrounded by water in lake left
Hole 4 - OB on shelter roof and/or surrounded by concrete in shelter floor
Hole 5 - OB surrounded by water in lake
Hole 6 - OB surrounded by water in lake
Hole 7 - OB surrounded by water in lake
Hole 8 - NO OB
Hole 9 - OB surrounded by pavement long
We will check in between 830-845a at the shelter by hole 4.
Following the event, we will do payouts/awards. The upper division will be paid via PayPal. The Lower and Mixed will be Crossover Cash which can be redeemed for merchandise on hand.
There is an ACE fund. If it isn't hit, it will be donated to the fundraiser.
