Good morning. I am super excited that you signed up to be part of our next "Thursday Night Flights" at the Vineyard on 9/21. This will be a 1 round PDGA C-Tier. We will do a shotgun start at 6p sharp. This is our last Thursday/Friday Night Flight here at the Vineyard due to daylight. So please be aware about pace of play so you and others don't finish in the dark.
This event is part of our "Fall Series". This means we are keeping track of points for the whole series. This will from until the time change in November. Players get 1 point for every divisional opponent they place higher than, and 2 points for participation. Points winners will receive the "Fall Series Cup". Also, since this is a series, we are going to do something new. If an ACE isn't hit, the ACE fund will carry over to the next week. If on the final week, the ACE isn't hit, there will be a throw off to clear out the ACE fund. I will post the first standings after this event, with this being our 3rd event of the series.
There was an ACE hit last week, so there is no carryover.
If you decide to withdraw from the event, you must do so by 3p for a refund on 9/21.
Cheryl and I will be at tournament central, which will be located by hole 6 tee pad. We will begin check in around 520p. We will have a shotgun start at 6p. I will post hole assignments by around 330p. They will be found at:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/74533
With doing a shotgun start, make sure you are at your hole by 558p when we will yell "two minutes". Please be aware that the course is not shut down for this event, so be mindful and considerate of casuals who may be on the course. It's important that we all play nice together.
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
520-550p - Player Check In
6p - Shotgun Start
@745p - Awards/payouts
For those in the ACE fund, payouts will be done electronically this year.
We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and then a secondary form of scoring per card (PDGA live, Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: vineyard921
Cards will be made of of primarily 3-4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division. Divisions need to have a minimum of 3 players unless otherwise approved by the TD.
All AM divisions will receive AM's Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. There will be merchandise on hand to exchange in the Crossover Cash. Open players will receive their payouts via PayPal electronically.
It is on each player to know the PDGA rules and guidelines. It is on each card to make sure you are on the appropriate tee. It's easy to go to the wrong hole sometimes, so make sure the card confirms they are on the correct tee pad for each hole.
It's going to be a great night. Again, we are excited that you are going to join us.
See you at the course!
Thanks,
Josh and Cheryl
