Good evening. I am super excited that you signed up to be part of our "Spring Friday Night Flights" series. This will be a 1 round PDGA C-Tier on Friday, 4/14 at the Vineyard. We will do a shotgun start at 6p sharp.
The Vineyard is a new course to PDGA events. The course particulars are posted in the pics section of the event page. This is what we will go with. I realize that it might not be as you and your buddies play it, or previous things there, but this is what seems to be fair for all and consistent with how we run our events. It went well last week when we did it this way.
To address the question of #3, yes, we will be bringing a basket to replace the missing one.
All water outside of the pond/lake is considered casual water and free relief. Even the little creek that sometimes has water and sometimes doesn't.
I will be at tournament central, which will be located by 6's tee in the parking lot. I will begin check in around 515p. We will have a shotgun start at 6p. I will post hole assignments by 3p tomorrow. They will be found at:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/69713
With doing a shotgun start, make sure you are at your hole by 558p when we will yell "two minutes". Please be aware that the course is not shut down for this event, so be mindful and considerate of casuals who may be on the course. This is our second event at the Vineyard, so let's do everything we can to keep a great working relationship going forward.
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
515-550p - Player Check In
6p - Shotgun Start
@730p - Awards/payouts
For those in the ACE fund, if there is not one hit, we will do a throw off where the winner takes all. The closest disc wins. ACE fund payouts will be done electronically this year.
We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and then a secondary form of scoring per card (PDGA live, Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: vineyard414
Cards will be made of of primarily 4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division.
All AM divisions will receive AM's Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. There will be merchandise on hand to exchange in the Crossover Cash. Open players will receive their payouts via PayPal electronically.
It is on each player to know the PDGA rules and guidelines. It is on each card to make sure you are on the appropriate tee. It's easy to go to the wrong hole sometimes, so make sure the card confirms they are on the correct tee pad for each hole.
It's going to be a great night. Again, we are excited that you are going to join us.
See you Friday night!
