Good evening!
I wanted to get this tournament email out this evening. Cheryl and I are super excited about the upcoming Crossover Spring Fever BYOP event at Millikin and Heritage this Sunday (4/3). This is a 2 round, non-sanctioned event.
The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or
comments before the event.
The event is a 2 rounder, with the first round at Millikin, and the second round at Heritage. We are playing all both courses original 18 holes, with 2 temp hole on each course. It should be a fun and challenging day for everyone.
Here is the flow of the course and the particulars for Millikin:
1 - OB over fence left or on/over path right and long
A (temp) - OB over fence long or on/over path left
2 - OB on/over path short or path or gravel paths long. You must land inside the "island" or retee
3 - OB over fence left
4 - NO OB
5 - NO OB
6 - NO OB
7 - NO OB
8 - OB on/over pavement
9 - NO OB
10 - OB over fence long
B (temp) - OB on over over path left or long
11- NO OB
12 - NO OB
13 - NO OB
14 - NO OB
15 - NO OB
16 - NO OB
17 - OB past posts left (post to post)
18 - OB past posts left (post to post)

Any standing water on the course is played as casual relief, with no penalty.
The schedule will look like this for the day:
9-945a - Player check in at Shelter 13
10a - Shotgun Start 1st round
@12-1p - Lunch
@ 1p 2nd round
@ 4p Awards
I can't stress enough, please take the short amount of time to physically check in with us at Shelter 13. This helps us make sure that everyone is here. It might not seem like a big deal to you, but it causes us issues trying to figure out if you are present or not. Please, please, please, just stop by and check in with us. Thank you in advance for this!
It's going to be a fun day and event. The layout flows very well. We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments for round 1 will be posted on the Disc Golf Scene comments section. Round 2 will be posted there as well, and on the Crossover FB page. We will also email it out.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR HERITAGE 2ND ROUND, WE WILL BE SETTING UP IN THE FIRST PARKING LOT TO THE LEFT WHEN YOU ARRIVE. NOT THE SHELTER BY HOLE 1.
If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a full refund, you must withdraw by 8p Friday.
Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. With 76 people, that is a lot to work through. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 40% per division. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. The Open players will receive cash/PayPal, and the AM's Crossover Cash. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand.
If there is no ACE is hit, we will do a throw off. The winner of the throw off will win the whole ace pot.
In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, they playoff will start on hole #B until there is a winner, playing the flow of holes of the event (temp and letter holes included) from the blue tees.
