Good morning. I am super excited that you signed up to be part of our Crossover So Long Summer 2022. We obviously knew when we scheduled it a few weeks ago that numbers would be low due to the WBO in Dayton, but we are excited you have chose to play our event.
This will be a 2 round PDGA C-Tier at Harbin (1st round) and Millikin (2nd round) on Saturday, September 17th. We will do a shotgun start at 9a sharp.
We will have everyone check in with Cheryl at the shelter/picnic table close to #1. We will not be having a players meeting. Hole assignments will be posted by 8p Friday.
With doing a shotgun start, make sure you are at your hole by 858a when we will yell "two minutes". Please be aware that the course is not shut down for this event, so be mindful and considerate of casuals who may be on the course. We will do an hour and a half lunch break to accommodate the drive to Millikin. These 2 courses flow extremely well and we plan on a very efficient tournament.
The course particulars will be printed on the back of scorecards we will hand out. We will also post them in the comment section on Disc Golf Scene.
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
8-850a - Player Check In by hole 1
9a - Shotgun Start round 1
@1130-1p Lunch
@1p round 2
For those in the ACE fund, if there is not one hit, we will do a throw off where the winner takes all. The closest disc wins.
We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and then a secondary form of scoring per card (PDGA live, Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: solong
Cards will be made of of primarily 4-5 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division. Divisions of 5 will play together. I've had to move a few people around to create divisions that meet the minimum of 3 where necessary.
All divisions will receive AM's Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. There will be merchandise on hand to exchange in the Crossover Cash.
It is on each player to know the PDGA rules and guidelines. It is on each card to make sure you are on the appropriate tee. It's easy to go to the wrong hole sometimes, so make sure the card confirms they are on the correct tee pad for each hole.
It's going to be a great night. Again, we are excited that you are going to join us.
See you Saturday
Josh and Cheryl
