Good evening. I just wanted to send out one more quick email tonight before tomorrows event.

Cheryl and I did some last minute set up today and the course looks great. All tees are marked with spray paint and/or chalk on walking trails.

A few reminders:
-Cheryl and Amber will be checking people in tomorrow. They will be in a White Chevy Equinox parked on the circle. Check in with them.
-Pace of play is important for everyone. Please keep pace. If you throw into the "bamboo forests", remember it is not free relief. If you take an unplayable lie, you must go backwards away from the basket in a straight line to relief. NOT LINE OF FLIGHT IN.
-All tees have a number spray painted on them. The most confusing transition on the course is walking from 4's basket to 5's temp tee. Then from 5's basket to 6's temp tee. Follow the people in front of you and the arrows on the ground
-On/over paths are the OB
-Please remember we are using the walkers paths on many temp tees. Be kind and courteous to any walkers out there, and allow them the right away.
-There are 2 mandos. Holes 2 and 7. PDGA Live has the particulars
-Hole 18 has the hazard area. From the temp tee if you do not throw across the next walking trail, you are in the hazard. Add a stroke and play it where it lies

I am super excited about this event. The feedback from those who have thrown it this week makes me want to do more events like this mixed in with our regular events.

Good morning.

Cheryl and I are super excited about the this event. Some people say that Heritage is just too easy, so maybe this layout will provide a little more challenge. This event will be on Sunday, March 19th. This will be a 2 round PDGA C-tier that will shotgun start at 930a.

The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or
comments before the event. If you have any questions or issues in regards to the tournament, please text/call Cheryl at 513-348-6140. She'll be the TD for this event.

We are playing 18 holes at Heritage, although there are just a handful that are the original holes. I have provided a map to help with guidance. I will be out there Saturday to mark even better the course. It should be a fun and challenging day for everyone.

All course particulars are in PDGA live. The main OB is on/over the paved walking trails that weave around the course. Any standing water outside of the river will be deemed as casual relief with no penalty. This means, behind the water away from the basket. Your card should be in the discussion on casual water. This course drains better than most all local courses, so I don't think this should be an issue.

The only 3 holes that have something in them besides on/over paths are the following holes:
Hole 2 - You tee off from a temp tee. Hole 2 tee sign is a MANDO Left. You will see this straight ahead by the beginning of the bamboo forest on the hole. It is just to the left of Hole 1 basket. If you do not go left, you go to the original #2 tee pad as the drop zone with a stroke penalty.
Hole 7 - You tee off from a temp tee (#5's regular tee pad). Hole 7 tee sign is a MANDO right. You will see this straight ahead as well. If you go to the left of the sign, you will go to #7 regular tee pad and throw from it as the drop zone with stroke penalty.
Hole 18 - You will tee off from a temp tee. There is a grassy area in front of the tee before the next walking path. This is in direct line of the basket. If you land short of the walking trail, play it as a HAZARD by adding a stroke and playing it where it lies.

PLEASE NOTE: TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF TEMP TEES ON GRASS, WE HAVE ELECTED TO USE THE WALKING PATH ON SEVERAL HOLES. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE NOW USING WALKERS AREAS TO BENEFIT US. PLEASE BE CURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY TO PASSERBYS, AS WELL AS ALLOW THEM THE RIGHT AWAY. IF THAT MEANS YOU HAVE TO WAIT A MINUTE, PLEASE DO IT. Luckily the temps will be lower to keep some of them at home, but regardless, please let them have access of the walking trail. Thank you in advance for that.

IF YOU DO NOT CHECK IN WITH CHERYL IN PERSON (NO TEXTS), YOU WILL BE DELETED BEFORE TEE OFF, BECAUSE WE WILL ASSUME YOU AREN'T HERE. THERE'S NO REASON TO NOT PHYSICALLY CHECK IN. It helps us not have to scramble to make sure there's enough players on cards. It's a PDGA sanctioned event. Please have enough respect for us as TD's to check in. Thank you for your help with this.

Cards will be made up with pace of play in mind. Some cards will be mixed based on numbers in divisions. Pace of play is on each card. With a shotgun start and this layout, there is no reason for any card to get more than 1 hole behind. Please keep pace and be conscious about it.

Also, just a reminder, that any junior younger than 13 must have a parent/guardian on their card. There are many juniors now signing up in non-junior divisions, so we don't always catch this beforehand. Please advise and follow the PDGA guidelines on junior players.

We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments will be posted by 7a the morning of the event. You can find them here: https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/66764

If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a refund, you must withdraw by 3p on Saturday.

Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 40% per division by the PDGA. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. The Open players will receive cash/PayPal, and the AM's Crossover Cash. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand. All Novice divisions are trophy only.

For those who are in the ACE fund, if no ACE is hit, we will do a throw off. This will be the first event we catch up with the technology age and send the ACE fund out via PayPal. This eliminates us having to go to the ATM and such. And also, it's 2023 time to do all cash payouts via PayPal.

In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, the playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner, playing the layout from round 1.

This is a PDGA event, so everyone should be up to date on the PDGA's stance on what is legal and what is not legal. Please don't put Cheryl or myself in position to make a call that we don't want to address, or should have to address.

It will take a little while to update to Udisc, but the layout is marked. It’s approximately 6900 feet now. The updated hole description is below. There are only 3 natural temp tees, with the rest using tee pads/walking trail. Inevitably, someone will pull up flags. Udisc will help you navigate. I’ll remark everything on Sunday and use chalk where needed on walking paths. Follow the arrows painted as needed.

Most holes will be stretched out with temp tees, and we are going to combine holes 11/12 for 1 hole.

I marked it on Udisc Monday around noon. We will mark the course with paint for those who want to practice the course prior to the event. If you like being able to throw distance drivers, you'll get several opportunities.
