Good morning! Cheryl and I are excited that you signed up to be part of the Crossover Putt and Approach World Championships at Cedar Grove tomorrow (12/3). This will be a 2 round, non-PDGA event. We will all shotgun start at 930a.
Tomorrow Cheryl will be doing most of the TD work. I tested positive for Covid and am a few days in with symptoms. If I do pop out, I will wear a mask and keep my distance.
For this event, all discs must be 4 speed and less. There is no limit on the number you bring, but to stay true and consistent on putt and approach, all players should stick with discs 4 speed and down.
When you arrive tomorrow, please park in the gravel area up around the house/garage, or in the grass right in front of the house. Cheryl will be doing check in from 845-920a in the garage (the door is in between the house and garage).
It's going to be a great day. The layouts we are going to be be playing are the PURPLE first round, and the GREEN second round. All entry fees will go to payouts, 2 CTP's per round, and an ACE fund. There will be a healthy dose of ACE runs for all players with these 2 layouts. The back of the paper scorecards will have all course particulars to follow.
In between rounds, we will do an approximate hour lunch break. We are pretty far out here, so you might want to bring/pack a lunch. The closest options are an IGA with lunch items (15 minutes) and a Subway (20 minutes).
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
845-920a - Player Check In
930a - Shotgun Start Round 1 Purple
@1130a - Lunch
@1230p - Round 2 Green
@230p - Awards
In the event of a tie for 1st, we will start the playoff on hole 1 playing the PURPLE layout. If no ACE is hit during the round, we will do a throw off for the ACE fund, where the closest disc wins the money.
All divisions will receive a cash payout for this event. For this event, we will pay out the top 33% of each division.
Even though it is a non-PDGA event, we will still follow the PDGA rules for the event as far as making calls on discs and such.
It's going to be a fun event. Again, we are excited that you are going to join us. We can't wait to see who will be our next World Champions!
See you in the morning!
Josh and Cheryl
