Thanks for a great first day of the Crossover Open 5. My life was easy as everything ran very smooth. Thanks for keeping the pace of play even across the board.

Hole assignments will be posted by 9p this evening. Please note, that with the chance of rain tomorrow, it's possible players might drop. So please check them again in the morning. If you decide to not play round 3, please let me know so I can plan accordingly.

Check in start for round 3 at Millikin will be at the shelter by hole 3 tee at 8a, and go until 850a. Tee off will be 9a. Please take the time to check in so I am not scrambling to make sure there are at least 3 on a card. Also, with starting holes all over the park, please feel free to park close to your starting hole and walk over to check in, or check in and drive to that area. There is very limited parking by hole 3 shelter.

Right now the weather is showing a 50% chance of rain during the round. I would bring umbrellas and towels in preparation. We play on in the rain. In the case of lighting, mark your disc or leave your disc, and get to a shelter or your car ASAP. We will start back up 30 minutes after the last lightning strike per PDGA rules. In the case we go to a delay, I will post tee off time in the event, and send out an email. Hopefully this is overkill, and not an issue.

Thanks again for a great first day. Millikin is another course that flows well. We played Harbin in 2 hours and 15 minutes, and Heritage in under 2 hours.

All particulars will be in PDGA live. Please make sure on each tee box that everyone is up to speed on each hole. There is definitely more OB to play with/around than at the 2 courses today.

Good evening. Just a few additional things that I might have left out of players email sent out yesterday (see below).

1. In the case of any standing water, it would be played as casual relief with no penalty
2. In the case you get stuck in the bushes at Harbin, or the bamboo forests at Heritage, any disc deemed unplayable can be moved with a penalty stroke away from the basket. It's not line of flight in. Please make sure you understand this rule, because it will probably come up.
3. In between rounds, I will send out an email and post in Crossover FB page the 2nd round starting time. You do not need to check in, just report to your hole
4. In the event you need to drop out, please let me know. If not an 888 will be assigned, and the PDGA will take note of it.
5. I will not be bringing merchandise on Saturday. I'll be hanging around the shelter at Harbin that is located close to hole 1. For Heritage, I will be at the shelter by hole 1, unless someone has it rented, In that case, I will be around hole 1 probably sitting in a chair.

Good afternoon.

I wanted to get this tournament email out today. Cheryl and I are super excited about the upcoming Crossover Open 5 AM's event.

This event will be a 3 round, C-Tier event. The first two rounds will be on Saturday (5/6), and the 3rd round will be Sunday (5/7). Both days tee times will be 9a shotgun starts to start the 1st and 3rd rounds.

Here's the breakdown:
Round 1 - Harbin
Round 2 - Heritage
Round 3 - Millikin

The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or comments before the event. Here's our numbers (best to text): Josh 513-225-6022 and Cheryl 513-348-6140.

All 3 courses we are playing the original/main 18 holes. There will be no temp holes for this event.

As far as the course particulars, we are playing a pretty friendly layout. Here's the layouts and OB's and such. They will be listed in PDGA live as well.

Harbin -
OB on/over any path on holes: 3 (long), 4 (right), 7 (long)

Heritage -
OB On/Over any path on holes: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17

Millikin -
OB On/over any path or over any fence on holes: 1, 2, 3, 8 (road...not small concrete area by the basket), 10 (long by road), 11 (right)
OB past the posts left on holes: 17 and 18
We play 2 as an island with re-tee as missed. The island is inside the walking trail, the fence to the left, and the road/path long.

I can't stress enough, please take the short amount of time to physically check in with us by hole 1. This helps us make sure that everyone is here, and there are no holes with less than 3 players. It might not seem like a big deal to you, but it causes us issues trying to figure out if you are present or not. Please, please, please, just stop by and check in with us. Thank you in advance for this!

For the players pack, each player will get the choice of a disc/water bottle/knee pad, a chalk bag, and an event shirt.

Cards will be made up primarily of 4, but we will have some groups of 3. We will keep the pace of play in mind as we construct cards.

We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments for round 1 will be posted on the PDGA page by 8a Saturday morning. You can find them here: https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/68801

We will take an hour and half lunch break between rounds 1 and 2. The same link will have 2nd round hole assignments posted as well.

For the flow of the day, the order of the holes will be on the physical scorecard and in PDGA Live. The access code is: crossover5

If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a refund, you must withdraw by 3p Friday.

Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 40% per division by the PDGA. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand.

For those who are in the ACE fund, if no ACE is hit, we will do a throw off. The winner of the throw off will win the whole ace fund. The ACE fund will be sent electronically via PayPal/Venmo.

In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, they playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner, playing the layout from the event.

This is a PDGA event, so everyone should be up to date on the PDGA's stance on what is legal and what is not legal. Please don't put Cheryl or myself in position to make a call that we don't want to address, or should have to address.
