As we are a few days out from the event, we just wanted to send out a players info email. Hopefully this will have everything in it to answer any questions you may have.
Sunday, June 27th will be the event. It is going to be a 2 round event, with a shotgun start around 9a. The first round we will play all 24 holes from the RED tees. The second round we will play all 24 holes primarily from the BLUE tees with a few temp tees. The layout will be posted below.
Here is the schedule of events. Tournament central will be around hole 1/practice basket area. Look for the blue truck and tables. Please physically check in. It delays tee off when we are hunting down players who haven't checked in. I promise, Cheryl won't bite when you check in.
The schedule will look like this:
8-845a - Player Check In
845a - Brief players meeting
@900a - Tee off
We will try to do an hour for lunch. The time will be adjusted depending on groups coming in. It is you and your card mates responsibility to keep pace. Being a shotgun start, all groups should finish about the same time. I would anticipate the 2nd round starting around 130-2p
Immediately following will be Awards and Ace Throw Off if not hit during the round
For all players who are in the ACE Fund, if it is not hit, we will do a throw off and the ACE Fund will be split 60/40 with the 2 closest discs/players.
We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and then a secondary form of scoring per card (Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: summer
You should be able to see what hole you are starting on by Saturday evening in PDGA event page. I know players are typically anxious to see which hole they will start on, and we do respect that. We have learned that posting this too far in advance causes confusion because players will drop, and it adjusts both divisions and cards.
Cards will be made of of primarily 4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division.
All AM's who finish in the top 40% of their division will receive Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. There will be merchandise on hand to exchange in the Crossover Cash.
It's going to be a great day. Thank you for signing up to be a part of it. We look forward to seeing you all Sunday. If for some reason you need to drop/withdraw, please do so by Friday night at 8p to receive a full refund.
