Good evening. I am super excited that you signed up to be part of our first ever Ladies Of Crossover (LOCO) event at Winton Woods on 1/17. This will be a 1 round non-PDGA event, where each player brings 3 discs to play the entire 18 hole layout, using only those 3 discs.
In 2026, Crossover has started the LOCO series with ladies in mind. The goal is to run a mix of fun and competitive events that are just for women, so we will run one per month throughout the year.
As mentioned above, this event is the 3 disc challenge. All women will receive a LOCO mini when they check in, and the winners of each division will win a cool trophy to hang up and remember your 3 Disc Challenge victory! Cheryl made these personally for you.
For this event, we will check in at the shelter which is in the parking lot on the right before the big parking lot (across from hole 3). Afterwards, the top 40% will receive payouts. All players in Open divisions will receive their payouts via PayPal the night of the event and all AM divisions will receive "Crossover Cash" that they may redeem on site for merchandise.
Every course seems to have some sort of glitch that poses a challenge during events. The walk from 13 to 14 is the for this course. Please walk around the fence and not across 18's fairway.
Cheryl and I will be at tournament central, which again will be at that shelter across from hole 3. We will begin check in around 915a. We will have a shotgun start at 10a.
We will be using UDisc Live for scoring. I have added all players to it as of this email. I will post hole assignments Friday evening.
With doing a shotgun start, make sure you are at your hole by 958a when we will yell "two minutes". Please be aware that the course is not shut down for this event, so be mindful and considerate of casuals who may be on the course. It's important that we all play nice together.
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
915-950a - Player Check In
10a - Shotgun Start
@1145a- Awards/payouts
Everyone is in the ACE fund. If an ACE is not hit, we will do a throw off following the completion of all the rounds. The player who throws the closest will win the full ACE fund.
The OB here is pretty simple. OB is mainly on/over roads/pavement along holes 1, 2, 3, and 14.
Cards will be made of of primarily 3-4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions.
In the event there is a tie, the players who are tied will go to hole 1 for a sudden death playoff. The players in the playoff will continue until there is a winner.
We will use PDGA rules where applicable. The main guideline is players marking their discs with minis, putting everything out, and being quiet when card mates are throwing. If a disc happens to go into the brush/bushes, playing from the correct lie is important for scoring consistencies for all cards. There is no relief from the brush/bushes.
It's going to be a great morning round. Again, we are excited that you are going to join us for the start of something special. We are glad you are going to have "LOCO" fun with us!
See you at the course!
Josh and Cheryl Terwilleger
