Good evening. I am super excited that you signed up to be part of our "Friday Night Flights Championship".
This will be a 1 round PDGA C-Tier at Winton Woods on Friday, September 30th. We will do a shotgun start at 545p sharp.
We will have everyone check in with Cheryl at the picnic table close to #1. We will not be having a players meeting. Hole assignments will be posted by Thursday night at 8p. You can find those here:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/63675
With doing a shotgun start, make sure you are at your hole by 543p when we will yell "two minutes". Please be aware that the course is not shut down for this event, so be mindful and considerate of casuals who may be on the course.
The course particulars for Winton Woods are pretty simple:
Holes 1-4 OB on/over pavement left
Holes 16 and 18 OB on/over pavement long
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
5-535p - Player Check In by hole 1
545p - Shotgun Start
@720p - Awards/payouts
For those in the ACE fund, if there is not one hit, we will do a throw off where the winner takes all. The closest disc wins.
We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and then a secondary form of scoring per card (PDGA live, Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: winton
Cards will be made of of primarily 4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division. Divisions of 5 will play together both rounds. I've had to move a few people around to create divisions that meet the minimum of 3 where necessary.
All divisions will receive AM's Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. There will be merchandise on hand to exchange in the Crossover Cash.
It is on each player to know the PDGA rules and guidelines. It is on each card to make sure you are on the appropriate tee. It's easy to go to the wrong hole sometimes, so make sure the card confirms they are on the correct tee pad for each hole.
It's going to be a great night. Again, we are excited that you are going to join us.
See you Friday night!
Josh and Cheryl
