Good afternoon. Thanks for signing up to be part of the Crossover "Fall Fling" series that concludes at Cabin Creek this week for the series finale. This event will be on Saturday, 12/13. This will be a 1 round PDGA C-tier that will shotgun start at 10a. We will play a 18 hole layout. The only hole that has 2 tee pads is #14 and we will play the SHORT pad.
The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or comments before the event.
All course particulars are in PDGA live. The code will be: cabin1213
Whatever is in PDGA live is what players at to go by. It is important that on each tee, the group double checks particulars, so that everyone plays the correct and same layout.
The layout is pretty straightforward with OB. We will be playing a little more relaxed layout for the time of year and with the limited snow on the ground. In talking with Scott at Cabin Creek, he said it was an inch of snow or less on the course, and grass is still visible all throughout. If you are still worried about losing a disc, you may tape ribbons/string to the bottom for this event.
The OB will be as follows:
Hole 2 - OB over/past/beyond fence left and/or on top of barn
Hole 3 - OB on top of shed
Hole 7 - OB on top of shed/cabin
Hole 13 - Mando RIGHT with drop zone
On holes 9 and 13, there are usually flags/string/marking for the edge of the drop off. Currently they aren't in place/visible. It will be too cold to put down marking paint, so please use caution with these holes.
The schedule will look like this for the day:
920-950a player check
10a - Shotgun Start
Awards
We will be set up close to the house. Per PDGA you must check in or can be removed prior to the event. All players not checked in by 950a will be removed from the field. Please have enough respect for us as TD's to check in. Thank you for your help with this. There is nothing harder on the TD to scramble trying to figure out if there are enough players on a hole because someone didn't check in.
Cards will be made up with pace of play in mind. Some cards will be mixed based on numbers in divisions. Pace of play is on each card. With a shotgun start and this layout, there is no reason for any card to get more than 2 holes behind. Please keep pace and be conscious about it.
Also, just a reminder, that any junior younger than 13 must have a parent/guardian on their card. There are many juniors now signing up in non-junior divisions, so we don't always catch this beforehand. Please advise and follow the PDGA guidelines on junior players.
We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments will be posted by 9p Friday night. However, people drop so I would double check 8a the morning of the event. You can find them here:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/97150
If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a refund, you must withdraw by 8p on Friday, 12/12.
Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 40% per division by the PDGA. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. The Open players will receive cash/PayPal, and the AM's merchandise vouchers in the form of Crossover Cash. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand. All vouchers must be used day of event. We will have around 300 discs from several different manufacturers, towels, chalk bags, hats, minis, etc.
For those who are in the ACE fund, if no ACE is hit we will donate it to the Bread of Life in Greensburg, Indiana. The entire Fall Fling series any ace funds not hit will be donated at the completion of the series. So know that you are paying it forward.
In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, the playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner, playing the same layout used.
This is a PDGA event, so everyone should be up to date on the PDGA's stance on what is legal and what is not legal. Please don't put Cheryl or myself in position to make a call that we don't want to address, or should have to address.
For registration to that one or any of our others, please go to the following.

We will be doing a points standings for the series. One of the division points winners will be selected randomly and will will free entry to our Frosty Fling series this winter in 2026.

It's going to be a great day. Please contact us with any questions you may have!
