Good afternoon. Thanks for signing up for the Crossover "Doubles Challenge BYOP" on 6/13 at Cedar Grove.
Our address is: 21208 Meadow Lane, 47041. It is the first house on the right on a shared driveway. There is a basket out front that is hard to miss.
This event should hopefully be fun and challenging event. Below you will find all the details for the event.
This is a 1 round, NON-PDGA event. It is a doubles event, and the format will be best disc. We will throw the BLUE layout, which is our most challenging layout.
Check in will be from 845-915a on the South end of the garage. When looking at it from the parking area it will the end to the right. There is also a port o let at that end, as well as a practice putting area with 2 baskets.
We will play the course as marked and as noted on the tee signs. It's marked well with mandos, OB, hazard, etc.
There will be payouts to the top 40%. The $30 entry fee breakdown will be like this:
$5 Cedar Grove Fundraiser Course Fund, $8 ACE fund, $17 payouts (Open Cash/AM's Crossover Cash)
Payouts per DGS will be Crossover Cash which you can redeem in our pro shop following the round. If an ACE is not hit, we will do a throw off where the closest disc get the ACE fund.
Some teams signed up for the US Doubles Qualifier for the chance to play in the US Doubles event in Rock Hill, SC in October. If you signed up for that, you will get an Innova disc with the stamp on it when you check in. If you qualify, we will submit your name following the event, where they will send you your official invite.
The day will look like this:
845-915a - Player Check In
915a - Brief Player Meeting
930a - Blue Layout
@1130a - Payouts and Awards
The course has 26 holes. Some are pretty challenging with tight and technical lines. There are lines on every hole that are fair for everyone.
In the event of a tie for first place, a sudden death playoff will begin on hole 1 until there is a winner.
We will not be handing out a course particular sheet. Play however the tee sign is marked. It should be accurate on what is OB, if there are any mandos, and how to play islands if they are in play. If you have never played here, at each basket if you look around you will find directional arrows to the next hole. It's hard to get lost honestly.
It's going to be a very fun day. We value your time, so we will make things as efficient as possible.
Again we are so excited to see you all tomorrow!
Thanks,
Josh and Cheryl
