Good morning! Cheryl and I are excited that you signed up to be part of the Crossover BLUE Christmas at Cedar Grove tomorrow (12/17). This will be a 1 round, PDGA C-Tier event. We will all shotgun start at 10a.
When you arrive tomorrow, please park in the gravel area up around the house/garage, or in the grass right in front of the house. Cheryl will be doing check in from 915-950a in the garage (the door is in between the house and garage).
It's going to be a great day. The BLUE layout is a beast, but obviously you aren't scared, and we dig that.
The course particulars will be on PDGA live and the back of a paper scorecard. The main things to remember:
-For holes with an island like 1, 17, and 25 the island is always in play. So once you get in the island, or throw from a drop zone, if you miss again, that is another penalty stroke.
-A few holes are close to barbwire fence. Per PDGA you get 2m/6ft relief from it
-There is OB marked with rope on 90% of the course, but a few spots are stake to stake
-Mandos are re-tee with penalty
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
915-950a - Player Check In
950a - Brief players meeting
10a - Shotgun Start BLUE layout
@1230p awards
In the event of a tie for 1st, we will start the playoff on hole 1 playing the BLUE layout. If no ACE is hit during the round, we will do a throw off for the ACE fund, where the closest disc wins the money.
All AM's are playing for Crossover Cash, and Open players will be sent their winnings via PayPal.
Please know the PDGA rules.
See you in the morning!
Josh and Cheryl
