Hello everybody and welcome to the 2025 Columbus Match Play Championship!

So, we're very much gonna be flying from the seat of our pants here as it pertains to how this tournament will be structured. In years' past, I've segregated this tournament into two different tiers, one pro and one am. In order to keep opponents as close as possible ratings wise, I'm going to have this one sign-up page and create brackets once registration ends.

In a perfect world, I would like there to be four different brackets of 8 people representing a rough version of MA1-MA4 but I also recognize that is entirely dependent on who all signs up so I'm not going to be presumptive.

In a scenario where there are brackets of 8 competitors, the tournament would obviously be contested over three weeks.

First round match-ups would take place at whatever course the two competitors agree upon, second round match-ups would take place at Simsbury DGC in Pickerington, and championship match-ups would take place at Brent Hambrick Memorial in Westerville.

For each round, you and your opponent would have 7 days to complete your match. The first round, for example, would allow each match to be completed between Monday, June 9th and Sunday, June 15th.

Payout details will be announced after I get a better idea of how big the brackets will be. But rest assured the money will be worth playing for as long as there is even a passable turnout.

Pre-registration is required and all payouts will be processed via PayPal. Brackets will be drawn the day after registration ends (Sunday, June 8th).
