UPDATE: 10/31/2022
The following information is NEW information based on the Expanded Field
1. Friday Night, Nov. 11th Player's Meeting will take place at the Jonesboro Elks Lodge. Historically, the meal at the Player's Meeting has been the responsibility of each team/player. This year, we are going to provide a Memphis Style BBQ for all players and advisors. Player's Meeting will begin at 7:30. Because we are providing the meal for Friday night, we are NOT providing Lunch on Sunday. THIS IS A MAJOR CHANGE. Please take note, we are not providing Lunch on Sunday. For those of you that have never been to the MidSouth Collegiate Open, this is where you pick up your Player's Pack, decide on team order, and learn about the course rules. It is HIGHLY recommended that you attend the Player's Meeting.
2. The entire field will be split into two (2) Pools for the first time ever. With the split field, we will play the Championship Course twice for Team Doubles. This is ALSO A MAJOR CHANGE. Saturday we will play the Rec Course from the White Tees for Singles and the Championship Course from Blue Tees for Teams Doubles. ALL players will play Singles and ALL Teams will play Team Doubles on Saturday. All rounds on Saturday will be a Shot Gun Start. Pools and Times will be announced later this week.
3. ALL Teams will play Team Doubles on the Championship Course from the Blue Tees on Sunday. Shot Gun Start.
4. There is limited parking at Tournament Central. Please DO NOT Park on the street anywhere. There is a back gate that leads to overflow parking area. Once the main lot is full, everyone else will have to park at the back area and walk in. Follow the signs. This includes any practice rounds on Thursday and/or Friday.
5. Final Change... As much fun as it is for everyone to participate in the Putting Competition (If you know, you know). We will have to limit it this year so that the time in between rounds does not take too long. Each SCHOOL will send a team to participate in the Putting Competition. If a school has multiple teams playing in the tournament, you can have players from different teams work together as one School Team.
There will be four (4) Division I AND four (4) Division II Bids handed out!!
