The e-mail and info for all players:
The 20th anniversary of this event will be snow-filled.
Gobble Gobble
No video player's meeting this year but this has all of the stuff I would otherwise babble about so save this as a reference please.
- PDGA Scoring will be used and the individual hole notes should further clarify the "Classic Pins" to be played. It is a mix of long and short pins.
- Saturday's scoring code is: xxxxxxx
- CHECK IN is from 8-8:45 in parking area #2
- OB - On or over road is out of bounds.
- Over the fence is OB on holes 9, 10 or 11
- Hole 13 - If your tee shot lands OB then you must go to the drop zone and take a penalty stroke. Play regular OB rules for any shots other than tee shots. Realize - you CAN go long of pin and still potentially be safe.
- Short pin on hole 2 will be used for both rounds.
- Do not park in the grass, you might get ticketed.
- The PDGA scoring app will show which pin you are playing (short vs long) but also, we put garbage bags on all of the pins you are NOT using. I hope they remain there but if you're unsure, check the app.
- If it appears you are tied for 1st after the second round, we'll plan to have a playoff starting on hole 1 in a sudden death format. No other ties have to be determined in an official capacity (meaning, it's up to you if you wish).
- We'll be providing a pizza and water lunch at the course. If you don't like that option you can plan accordingly.
- Player's package for non-pros is beefy as usually including:
-- 1 custom stamped event disc
-- Your choice of an additional stock disc
-- Branded towel
-- Personalized key chain / bag tag
-- Custom Mini Buzzz
-- Lunch on site
- Awards will take place immediately following the completion of the second round. We'll plan to do the awards at the course considering both rounds should move pretty quickly.
Weather Forecast:
Please be safe - there also is a chance that we can only play one round if the weather absolutely calls for it. Payouts and such would remain in tact but please keep that possibility in mind in case we have to call for such. Also, please bring a shovel or broom as we have some but if you wish to keep the pads intact, that's your best bet.
Big thanks go out to these people who provided some level of additional sponsorship and support:
Scott Wenström, Marc Benoit, Trygve Schadler, Erick Schmidt, David Campbell, Sean Gilbert, Kevin Kosanke, Mark Andersen, Fritz Krause, Matthew Sayers, Michael Burke and of course, Discraft!
Thank you again everyone,
Ter (Tournament Director)
