Clay West Flex Start layout
Hey everyone, I wanted to drop a few quick notes on the course layout for the West Flex next Saturday.
-Holes 15 and 16 will be combined and play as a Par 4 (my favorite safari hole on the property). I'll mention this in the players meeting email as well, but please allow the card in front of you to tee off on 17 for any upshots that play along the left (primary) fairway. Be mindful of that while practicing as well. Also, there will be mando marked preventing players from throwing left off 15's tee into the field.
-I'll be adding a Par 3 off the amphitheater that plays out past the basketball court. If you saw Steven Sicari's Fall Challenge hole, this one should be about 50 feet longer and 75 feet left with the basketball court and tennis court OB. No mandos.
-There will be OB lines going in between Holes 6/7 and 17/18. The typical OB line that runs deep on 7, early right on 8 and left on 9 will also be marked and in play.
Other than that, you can expect the course to play as it normally does in tournaments.
