DATE CHANGE! Due to a personal emergency, this event will now take place on Saturday, November 12th.
The McDonald's Chillicothe Challenge is a "true amateur" fundraising event for the Friends of Scioto Trails and Great Seal State Park. The funds raised from this event will directly go towards making improvements to the park, including the disc golf course. As well as additional benches, trash cans, signage, and more, the course will soon receive a full 18 of brand new Innova DISCatcher Pro 28 baskets!
The "true amateur" nature of the event means that, aside from division trophies, this event does not have any payout or prizes. However, we are working to put together a player pack and a tournament that makes this event worth every penny! As a result, we are currently looking for event sponsors. If you are interested in sponsoring the event in any way, please get in touch!
Despite being an X Tier event, both rounds of this event will be PDGA rated and will be a competitive sanctioned tournament. Plus, with this event supported by the PDGA's Competition Endowment Program, the typical $10 entry fee for non-PDGA members has been removed, so there is no excuse not to get involved!
We are also looking for a number of volunteers to help with sign ups, course preparation, and spotting around the course. All full-day volunteers will receive a full customized player pack, just like the players! If you are interested in volunteering, you can sign up as a volunteer through Disc Golf Scene, or feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
All amateur divisions will be offered if three or more players sign up. The number of trophies available in each division will be determined by the number of players within that division.
